  1. It's too bad there's no Rare 11 typo on the Blessed, as well. Any time I get upset with a book being errata'd, I just remind myself that I happily played Rifts for years and this is nothin'. Wyrd has yet to issue an apology for an entire book.
  2. Last time I suggested that, someone got all mad that Tara "was always intended to be Wave 1."
  3. That all depends on where you live -- I believe mine arrived relatively quickly, but others were waiting for quite awhile (I want to say Aussies were waiting months?).
  4. And the KS Hannah art is the same as was used for M2E Book 1 -- I can't imagine their primary art for a character being a limited release. I would expect something with unreleased art.
  5. It's been said many times that there won't be any Wave 2 models coming in plastic this year. I would still wager that doesn't hold true to Nightmares, though. For that, my my only guess is: All the Wave 1 Masters who haven't been plasticized yet, but specifically the ones who don't already have existing models (Tara and Brewmaster, I'm lookin' at you).
  6. I'm hoping and praying Wyrd Chronicles 13 drops tomorrow, and, with it, GenCon announcements.
  7. I worry about your love life if Pandora is a step up.
  8. I've always been on the fence about Raspy -- I play with her original metal model more than her plastic -- but, like Loveless said, she still feels in character.
  9. I think it's funny "flashing her panties" has come up more than a few times -- she's not, on the old model, but her hand placement definitely suggests that --, as though that were a reason for Wyrd's new art direction, because other models *cough*Trixiebell*cough* *cough*Hired Swords*cough* have obviously shown us they're still A-okay with sexualized models. While the art is great, I'm not a fan of the new Colette style -- rationalizing that "she wouldn't be wearing her stage-show outfit out to combat/sneak around" seems like a fan-rationalization, especially when you consider the Hired Swords' combat-impossible outfits, Lynch's suit, Santiago's sombrero and Loco's straight jacket (obviously, Wyrd has never been a function-over-faction type of company), but the biggest problems I see are a) the major departure from ALL the previous Colette art the major departure from the Showgirl / stage magician flamboyance c (and this is the biggest one) the extremely lackluster Master art (no other Master is as nondescript, and she should be the MOST descript master, clothingwise). She feels like all of the generic profession art in Through the Breach. That said, this close to release, we're not going to get a new Colette sculpt. We may get an Alt down the road, we may get our now-much-hoped Miss Direction, but, for most of us, her box is going to contain a third Performer and we'll all run our metal Colette. Speaking of metals, there are 2 on Ebay, 2 on Amazon (though one has obviously been priced higher, knowing people want it), 1 on Bartertown (also a Coryphee Duet... just sayin'), and probably a handful across all the various miniature stores. (The same holds true for the old Avatar -- there are about as many of that on all the sites I listed) If you hate the new model so much, voice your dislike (Wyrd does read these, after all, and they'll possibly fix it), and pick up the old one. Now, let's talk about how effing awesome the new Dead Rider is. It's effing awesome, right?
  10. I only have Kang and a handful of 10T models, so I'm somewhat limited. I plan on running him with a Thunder Archer and two Thunder Brothers (or a Thunder Brother and a Rail Worker). I still feel like I have a better chance at Hardcore with Kang than with Joss, Cassandra, or Taelor (my other Henchmen).
  11. I'll just pile on and say "Miss Direction no-brainer."
  12. R4st4f4n, there are quite a few M1E Colette boxes on Ebay, and likely will be after GenCon. Also, if this is the direction they're going, her Avatar will be different, so you can pick from any of the 4 sculpts.
  13. It's possible -- I'll buy the plastic and compare it to the metal I already have before I buy a second metal -- but, with the way things have been moving from metal to plastic, it's likely the body will be much bigger than the head would look natural on.
  14. I wonder how hard a head swap would be, and if I can find another Colette model to decapitate.
  15. Colette seems less... unique... now.
  16. With all of his talk about Easter Eggs, I still feel like there are more out there, but if we haven't found them yet...
  17. While Wyrd is one of the most open and upfront companies about their backend proccess, I think we're always going to want more. "What do you mean Jimmy from shipping is sick?! What does he have? Is it serious? I really hope he's going to be okay, but I also want him to go into work right now to get my order on the road!"
  18. In-faction, Ronin or Desperate Mercs -- the Mercs are 2 stones cheaper, but the Ronin are about 2 stones more survivable. Ronin also have an auto-trigger for a 5 inch movement if they get caught in melee, which is super handy if their whole goal in life is to drop Scheme markers. Out of faction, Showgirls are pretty good (though I'm not sure they're 6 SS good). Poison, Manipulative, and they can drop scheme markers while engaged.
  19. When I stumbled across a Coryphee Duet online, that's actually why I passed on it. I speculate that Colette will be one of the first Wave 2 sets out there due to how sparse the availability is -- if they weren't going to release new Showgirls models, they would have simply ordered more metals to be cast and sent out. As for the metal models, that's a tough one. My only gripe there is there was no real need for new Ramos, Marcus, or Raspy crews with Wave 1 -- sure, they're nice, but we could have been fine with just 1 -- where Tara and Fuhatsu didn't have models at all. I suspect the models they went with weren't based on availability, but a proven track record of which crews would both sell and were easy enough for people totally new to the game to pick up and play. Tara is a hard Master to master, Raspy not so much... If someone's first foray into Malifaux were someone difficult to play, they may not come back.
  20. I have no idea where I got 19 from... Trying to manually count days without coffee, maybe?
  21. We're still 19 days away -- despite last year's extremely early GenCon announcement (the earliest I've found is May 8th http://goo.gl/yPQoKU, 99 days before GenCon), 2012 and 2011 searches come up showing they didn't announce anything until August (granted, all the old forums are gone, so it's possible they posted things here in June or July) -- they're not late with announcements, yet.
  22. The Distress paint from the stamping section in hobby stores? I've been meaning to try that. For crackle paints, the size of your crackled pieces depends on how thickly you lay it on. If you can lay it on super thin, you'll get lots of small spidery cracks -- maybe try mixing it with ink instead of paint.
  23. I'd love to see anything Nightmare 10T -- maybe Shenlong, though he'd be better as a nightmare with his Avatar.
