  1. Lets break this up in simple questions 1. Do we all agree that you cannot target a buried model? 2. Do we all agree that if you cannot target a buried model, you are not able to heal it any further? 3. Do we all agree that nothing in the ability implies that you can break this rule, or implies that it will ever heal more then 1wd? If we can all agree on these 3 simple points, logic would imply(in my humble opinion) that the target would not go below zero wounds, as this ability would otherwise be completely useless 90% of the time, and you would simply have a dead Horeman in the ground If I am not correct in my conclusion, then I am just happy I do not play Leveticus as this ability would be extremely unreliable to say it diplomatic
  2. This is from the newest version "Blackened Scepter: While this model is in play, friendly Horseman models which are killed or sacrificed are buried instead and heal 1 damage. When this model is buried, unbury any Horseman buried in this way within 2" of this model before removing it." As far as I know you are not able to target anything that is buried, and I cant see anywhere in this quote where it states you can heal the Horseman further after it is buried- therefore burying the Horseman if it would have less then zero wounds would make no sense, as you would simply have a dead Horseman buried. It is furthermore extremely rare( at least in the games I have played), that you kill a model to exactly zero wounds, which would make this ability absolutely useless... but it seems like I am missing something, because all of this seems glaringly obvious(not to sound condescending in any way). So if I am just repeating my point, and making an arese out of myself, please tell me ^^
  3. The Horseman would simply be reduced to zero wd no matter how much damage he receives, and then heal 1wd after he is buried, and will therefore be unburied with 1wd no matter how much damage he would have recieved before he was buried... hope that is clear enough
  4. Dont mind Ausplosions, he is a nice guy deep down, but his answers can be a bit short and negativ I must admit that the quotes you have in your post are a bit hard to understand, but I will happily give my interpretation of the skill itself. When Leveticus is in his Avatar form, any Horseman that is killed is simply buried instead and heals 1wd. If Leveticus then dies(and gets buried) within 2inches of the aforementioned killed/buried Horseman, this model will then get unburied with 1wd before you remove Leveticus from the board. Does that help, or have I missed some part of your question?
  5. What about the trio with Mr. Graves, Tannen and the Doppelganger together with the Useless duplications, you think it could work/ is it worth the ss? and maybe a list like this would have to few models for scheme markers? Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap Lilith -- 4 Pool +Beckon Malifaux [1] +Living Blade [2] +Wicked Mistress [1] Baby Kade [7] +Depression [1] Doppleganger [7] Insidious Madness [5] Mr. Graves [8] Mr. Tannen [6] +Useless Duplications [1] Teddy [11] I would then have Insidiouse Madness run around for scheme markers, but seeing as the Doppelganger can lay scheme markers even while engaged, I could have her do some stuff while in the middle of everything. But what would you swap out and with what, for this list to work? or do you think for certain schemes this could actually work?
  6. Well in that exact list it would be the Waldergeist and Silrud who would run for schemes But if I changed them for a Doppelganger and something else, I could take Useless Duplications to go with both Mr. Graves Tannen and the Doppelganger... but could someone explain to me how the upgrade works, and if it also effects the model who carries the upgrade, seeing as it does not say "other" anywhere in the text. But I would love to see what kind of list you would make with some of these models Joel, as I really respect your point of view . or would you simply not take any of these models in a Lilith crew?
  7. I have been thinking about a strange list that I would like to have you guys opinion on: Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap Lilith -- 4 Pool +Beckon Malifaux [1] +Living Blade [2] +Wicked Mistress [1] Baby Kade [7] +Depression [1] Mr. Graves [8] Mr. Tannen [6] Silurid [7] Teddy [11] Waldgeist [6] Baby Kade and Teddy will stay in the list no matter what, as I would like to try and have Baby Kade sit behind the trees with Lilith to punce and kill stuff in safety of the trees, and Teddy to just kill stuff ^^ But I have been thinking a lot about Mr. Graves and Tannen- They could stand a bit infront of Lilith, This way Tannen can give the poor enemies around him and in the forest his "cooler" making it very resource intensive to cheat out of Lilith and Baby Kades dmg, and just generally being annoying and using the skill from the depression upfrades etc. Mr Grave will then both be a beat stick, and help the poor "customers" over to Lilith, so she can use her lure ability from the safety behind her trees, and of course help the unwanted visitors away from the forest of happiness ^^ The Waldergeist and Silurid are the ones I am most unsure of, I thought that the Silurids are always nice for schemes, and the waldergeist is a good tank to just sit and take damage... but maybe I could use my SS better? I have also been thinking about putting the doppelganger and some other model instead of the Silurid and the Waldergeist... I have never played with Baby Kade, Teddy or Mr. Graves and Tannen, so I would really like you guys opinion if all of this even sounds plausible, or is it a bit to gimicky?
  8. Thank you again for an awsome Batrep! I have to be selfish again regarding who you should play- more Dreamer, Lilith and Zoraida as I am new to Neverborn and those are the master I have choosen, and I cant think of anyone I would rather have doing Batreps about them then you guys! Btw you might want to read this thread about doing max dmg with Lilith: http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/99831-need-help-playing-lilith/ There are basically two great ways to attack with her: 1. the aggressive way: "you activate her (0)Sudden darkness to get +1 dmg, then place a forest with Illusionary Forest 1inch away from the one you want to charge. With her 3range you can now charge a model 9inches away, running through a forest for the +1dmg. But wait theres more!^^ - you still have 1AP, so you now cast Wicked Mistress to push them into the forest (severe terrain), giving them a 1/2/3 dmg flip and the slow condition, and because you have Living blade you can now take a free 1AP ML action. I killed more or less anything I charged this way." Min dmg 13/ max dmg 21 2. the defensive way: "0 action summon trees. (no damage yet) 1 action wicked vines (One Damage from Caste) 1 Action Transfixing Gaze (3 damage from pull, 1/2/3 damage from them ending in sever terrain and they get slowed) Free Action: you get to take your free attack from the living blade from Thirsy Mandrake (3/4/6) 1 action Melee Attack (3/4/6)" Min dmg 11/max 19 She can of course do a lot of other stuff, but if you just want to kill things, this is a good way - I am going to try and have Baby Kade hang around Lilith behind the forest in my next game, giving him a free pounce on anyone Lilith can lure to them. Btw the Terror Tot would have gotten the kill when the Black Blood Shaman used "Black Blood Pustule", and seeing as the BBS was within 12 inches you could just have grown him to a Young for free I have never really looked at Lelu and Lilitu before, but after seeing this video I have become a bit curious. but is a Black Blood Shaman a necessity to get the most out of them?
  9. Yeah that was exactly my thought, with lots of small models running around making them loose WP and most likely doing some passive dmg every time he activates something, and barbaros using his 0 ability (which is also wp based) to force them to attack him. - something I ran into last time I did this with Lilith though- If one of my othe models are engaged with an enemy model, and Barbaros uses his Challenge... will the enemy engaged with the other model have to do a WP check every time he attacks the model he is engaged with, forcing him to do a disengaging strike to get to Barbaros if he wants to avoid the constant WP check every single time he wants to attack another model? If I played this right and this is allowed, then you could easily tie up a lot of his models by NOT directly engaging them with Barbaros, but let other models get in melee and then use his ability to force them to either do constant WP duels, or waste AP to try and get away forcing a disengaging strike
  10. Rathnard can you give me your opinion on bringing Barbaros as a bodyguard, is it a waste of SS as I could use my points better on Nightmare models like an ekstra Teddy?
  11. I have a bit of a noob question, but does incorporeal ignore disengaging strike? And regarding The Dream Of Pain upgrade- I just have a hard time seeing how it can be worth it, its card intensive and everything you summon will have 1wd... that gotta be the worst summoning in the game?
  12. So you would be more in the favor of a list like this? Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap The Dreamer -- 3 Pool +Otherworldly [2] +Restless Dreams [1] +Tantrum [2] Daydream X 2 [4] Baby Kade [7] +Depression [1] Coppelius [8] Insidious Madness [5] Teddy [11] Widow Weaver [8] I definitely see the potential in BK synergy with the alps... but would it not be very easy for the enemy to kill all the small models, if there are no model to play bodyguard for them? it just seems like a lot of the models in this list a quite squishy?
  13. Sorry for the confusion- Baby Kade is on Lilith team, so they are not enemies. They will most likely be sitting behind some trees together, having some fun and stabbing anything that peeks out of the forest ^^
  14. Wait... LCB can be re-summoned?! O_o I thought he just died, wauw he must be a pain to fight against then ^^
  15. I have tried to make a little list with The Dreamer, but remember I have never played with him, so be kind Neverborn Crew - 50 - Scrap The Dreamer -- 2 Pool +Restless Dreams [1] +Tantrum [2] Daydream X 2 [4] Barbaros [10] Coppelius [8] Insidious Madness [5] Teddy [11] Widow Weaver [8] +Fears Given Form [1] My idea was to kill one daydream to get 4Alps and 2daydreams in the first 2turns, and then have LCB in his face ASAP, and after his demise I would still have The Dreamer with range expert etc. I took Barbaros as I thought he could be a good bodyguard for all the fragile models, with his "Challenge" ability, This way all my Alps and Daydreams would have more freedom to play around with the enemie. I took Widow Weaver for her webs and WP shenanigans. Teddy as my beatstick. Coppelius to summon more alps and play with WP stuff. Insidious Madness to be the bodyguard for The Dreamer with his WP/DF trigger. Could this be a viable list and strategy? - and as always I know Crew lists should never be written in stone in this game, this is just to get a generel feel for The Dreamer And a side question: when LCB dies and The Dreamer comes out again, will he still be getting the waking condition? - this is pretty important concerning his passive heals.
  16. Any chance I can get you guys to post a "generic" Dreamer and Collodi crew list, so I can get a generel feeling of what kind of models they would take?
  17. I am having a bit of a problem with one of the local Malifaux veterans, however he is mostly using "elite crew" with very few models, which I would really like to punish in some way. Last time he used this crew: 50ss Neverborn: Lynch Huggy 2x Teddy Candy What is the best way to punish such a short list of models? And a side question- does the pounce from Baby Kade get the +2dmg if I lure the enemy model with Lilith to get it 1inch close to Lilith so she can use her free 1AP attack? in other words, would the enemy be considered engaged with Lilith when Baby Kade gets to use his pounce?
  18. But terrifying specifically says "end a walk action" and seeing as charge is not a walk action, why would the model be effected in my example? - remember that in my example the attacking model does not target the model with terrifying, but another model close to the model with terrifying.
  19. A quick question- when you summon LCB, would he then count as the leader of the crew and get 3AP etc?
  20. Thank you so much for an awsome batrep! - the pre and post thoughts on the match was something I think all batreps should have, so please just continue doing exactly what you were doing in this video ^^ As to what you guys should play, I would personally love some more Neverborn stuff- I am currently trying to decide between playing Collodi and The Dreamer, so anything that can help me make that decision would of course be awsome for me ^^ Some stuff about Zoraida and Lilith would also be nice, as those two are the ones I am currently playing, and it is always good to see how other people are playing it
  21. I will be in Rogue Trader ones again, doing Demos for anyone interested I expect to be there around 16:00. Denmark City: København Shop: Rogue Trader Phone: 27502776 Harsdorffsvej 8A, kl tv 1874 Frederiksberg C
  22. Some new questions: 1. When can you use a zero action? - Can I fx charge with the Waldgeist and place his forest with his zero action before he uses the two 1AP ML actions? 2. Do you get the kill from "passive" abilities like Fear Given form and Black blood? 3. Is charge considered a walk action? (I am pretty sure it is not, but I promised to ask ^^) - If I charge an enemy with another model standing besides him with terrifying, would I have to take a horror duel as I have ended the charge(what my opponent thought would still be a walk) close to the other models terrifying? 4. Does Rush of Magic stack? - if I have both Lilith and Primordial magic, would I then take 8 cards and discard two?
  23. I thought it could be nice to have a list of different models that works great for different schemes/strategies, you are welcome to give both a basic or a more advanced explanation. Just share out of your experince so others can benefit from your hard-earned lessons ^^ Silurids: I am still a Neverborn noob with only three games with Lilith and one with Zoraida, but I have quickly learned that you should never underestimate the leap ability on Silurids- they basically work for any scheme marker intensive game, both for their speed and also for the ability to leap in and out of engagement (mostly out^^). So if your list "allows" you to use some SS on them, they are a pretty solid investment. Waldgeist: I have found them pretty good at schemes like "Line in the sand" or other schemes that require a bodyguard. Place them where you want to hold a spot, place the forest for the 4inch ML and maybe use some AP on Defensive stance. A single Waldgeist have kept Huggy away from a scheme marker for three turns, just using all his AP on Defensive stance together with his +2armor. Remember that the game is all about VP, so you might not kill a lot of stuff in this way, but you keep them busy so you can score all the VP for yourself Well that was my short experince, but I am looking forward to see some of you veterans thoughts and strategies
  24. Sorry about that, wrong list ^^ - I have posted the new one now, and yes I would never give her Fear
