  1. Ok, so with Hoffman's upgrade to hire Arcanists constructs... Can Hoffman attach his modification upgrades to those constructs? And do they cost 1 extra SS when hiring? They're not Mercenaries. He's just able to hire them out of faction. So does that 1 extra SS rule apply?
  2. I'll do it man! damn smoke bombs and disappearing here, reappearing there
  3. Thats what I thought, after thinking about it later that night… yikes, that's rough damn ninjas
  4. Hi, I was playing a game against a Misaki crew last week. My opponent buried 2 Torakage. When it was time for them to come back in, or unbury. The cards states "unbury this model within 6" of a friendly model" Are things like this LOS or not? My opponent was trying to unbury 6" away from a friendly model, but completely out of LOS of the friendly model. It was up in elevation. His friendly model was beneath a bridge, the Torakage were being unburied on top of the bridge. Is this legal? His argument was that it doesn't state LOS on the card I thought all stuff like this needs LOS to work, and called shenanigans I know a Summon is LOS, and a lot of unburies are base contact… but what about the distance unbury? Can someone help? Thanks, Christopher
  5. Hi all, Can Lilith's upgrade "Beckon Malifaux" be placed on top of another model? And do those 2 50mm severe terrain markers get taken off the board when she dies? Thanks
  6. I have a question about this Strategy. Once you claim a SR marker, do you have to stay there in base contact with it, in order to maintain control? it kinda makes sense cause you're squatting on the marker. is this right?

  8. M2E says LoS is by drawing at least 1 line from anywhere on one base to anywhere on another base Models represent non-static characters who bob and weave a bit on the tabletop, and using the base to determine LoS serves to represent this. M2E rule book pg 40-41
  9. Ok, Model-A, Ht2 is behind a Ht1 wall, no base showing. Model-B, Ht2 is within lets say 6in of Model-A No Los lines can be drawn. Can either Model effect the other with an Aura or Pulse?
  10. "I don't think that word means what you think it means" I think we're talking about, That Guy = being a dick (in the words of Will Wheaton) Like others said, the one who is only happy to stomp new players, puts a list together that exploits rule holes, and generally is no fun to play against.
  11. "That Guy" who exploits rule holes in competitive tournaments is never gonna go away... and will always find something to manipulate. But other gamers and organized tournament events can choose to turn away said players. This person makes the game not fun. And to be honest, while I kinda agree with the "play to win", I believe you should be playing to have fun first. You can still play for fun and better yourself and learn. Playing for fun doesn't mean your not taking note of special effects that happened, or triggers, or whatever. It means your not hung up on losing. You can walk away from a loss and be thinking "that was still fun, and next time maybe I'll get em". Not taking a loss and rage quitting, flipping the table and exclaiming the game is broken. These are games people. Games are meant to be fun. Choose not to play against the "that guy" player. Choose not to have negative people in your life. Choose not to be frustrated by your opponent who's being a dick. It's not the game. It's the person playing it. Really, life is too short not to enjoy yourself. Find someone to play against who feels the same way, have fun. The "that guy" players will eventually see they have no one to play against. Maybe even realize the error of their ways and try to change there attitudes... But more likely will label the game broke and move on to the next thing they can figure out a way to crush everyone in their path... Have integrity. Have Fun. It's just a game. (its not real) My opinion.
