  1. Asylum, Half-Blood, each with 4 models in their keyword and no master.

Crossroads and Puppet being the other two?

In M2E, when someone declared the Crossroads 7 they ran the seven as a single crew with Wrath as the leader.  In M3E I could see it going one of three ways:
-Declare Crossroads as keyword and choosing one of 7 Henchman as your crew's Leader (that models faction is the declared faction for the event and the player doesn't have to run all 7 of the Crossroads model in the crew, remainder of crew composition continues as normal)
-Declare Crossroads as keyword and you then play the 7 models with 1 soulstone in your pool and you can choose any of the models to be the crews Leader. (faction would be whatever the chosen Leader was apart of)
-The special rules that accompanied the release in M2E carry over to M3E and, when a player declares Crossroads, they run the 7 with 1 soulstone in their pool and Wrath is the crew Leader.

Puppet-if a player participating at the event messaged me and asked me allow the Puppet keyword, sharing with me their reasoning, I would allow it.

This post says that the event starts at 11, but the store opens at noon. Is he opening early? Also, why no henchman led crews? Some keywords are unplayable and that sucks not being able to use models people worked hard on.

Edited to reflect the correct opening time of the store.  I messaged the store owner, asking if I could get there early to set up the tables and, if I can, I will adjust the Rd 1 assignment time.

Please explain which keywords are unplayable without using Henchman as leaders of the crews.   I'm ok with adjusting or making exceptions if I've missed something. :)

  3. 50SS M3E Tournament
$15.00 Entry Fee (Covers Pizza Lunch)
    Heroes Comics & Gaming
    31 Aug 2019
    Sign In: 1200 (noon)
Round 1 Assignments: 1230 (1245 if I am unable to get the tables set up prior to Sign In, but plan for 1230 Assignment time)

(2 Hour Rounds with 10 min before each round for crew creation and discussion of terrain on the board between opponents)

    Crew Creation Rules:
-50 Soul Stones to hire each rounds crew.
-Fixed Faction (Player declares which faction they will be using for the entirety of the tournament, when they check in with the Event Organizer)
    -Crews can change between rounds.
-Henchman-led crews ARE allowed.  I ask that, if you choose to run your crew with a Henchman, please courteously make that very clear during setup, to your opponent (if they're new to M3E).
-No Dead Man's Hand led crews.

    Painting Requirements:
-WYRD MODEL FULLY ASSEMBLED AND ON THE APPROPRIATELY SIZED BASE! No Painting requirements!!!

What the Player needs to bring:
-The Wyrd models they are using for the tournament. Proxy models not allowed unless cleared with me by Aug 28 via private message.
-Their own Malifaux Fate Deck. (Not a deck of playing cards as not everyone knows which card suit correlates to which Malifaux suit)
    -Their own measuring device.
-Malifaux stat cards for the models they are using. Official Tarot sized cards or the m3e print outs available for download (subject to inspection by the EO prior to event start) the player must have their stat cards in physical form for the opponent to view on the table across from them.
-A means to mark the conditions their crews cause. We want to generate a clear state of play at all times.

M3E Deployment, Strats, and Schemes will be flipped the 21st of Aug, and shared on this post (alongside its Facebook event post
    https://www.facebook.com/events/3134337369940567/)

Shinobi with Twelve Cups of Coffee on a high model count crew might as well be flying; with the Side Arm from Tacticle Ghille Suit hits no matter concealment, manipulative, serene countenance, and/or friendly fire; it's also hilarious vs Neverborn & Resser beaters and all their hard to wound nonsense.

^This.  That gets super expensive for a single model though.

  5. Hey everyone-I am hoping this is just the end result of a long day at work and a complete lapse of competence on my part because it's embarrassing, as a 5+ year Henchman to have to ask this but here it goes:

What is the size of a M3E Strategy Marker?

I see where it says that the default size of all markers is 30mm unless specifically noted under the marker.  I then looked at the Strategy Markers description and see no change from what is written as default (30mm).  None of the Strategies themselves change the size from 30mm either.

The reason I am confused is I went and was looking at M3E tokens and some vendors are selling the Strategy Markers at 50mm in size.

They're supposed to be 30mm, right?????

    Thanks for the help!

@ShinChan The "brings Aionus closer with the Surge action"

The card reads "Target other engaged friendly model. Target is placed into base contact with this model."  So can you not target unless Aionus is engaged because it has to be an other engaged friendly model?

  7. @Smeagle The latest download is the officially released cards for all the retail available models. Void Hunters aren’t yet for sale so they’ll be in the faction book and sold with the cards for them in their boxes, in all likelihood.

Void Hunters are only existing in their last uploaded beta file state, right now.

  8. Hey all!  If you're in the Louisville area, I'm usually available to get a demo or two each weekend and some weeknights (we just have to decide when and where works best)!

If you played in any M2E tournaments in Louisville or Lexington in years past, there's a good chance I ran them (not to be confused with the Henchman who ran all the leagues, he's a great guy)

We can meet for demos at Heroes Comics and Gaming or at the Louisville Game Shop.  There are a few other small game shops here in town that have some play space so we can meet there as well, we just have to work it out in advance.

You can direct message me on here and we can set up a time/place and if I can't meet you then we can reach out to the other local Henchman and get you taken care of!

    JULY SPECIFICS:
Moving the weekend of the 13th so if you want to get a demo in, I am available on the 20th and can probably work in an evening or two during the week before the end of the month!

What does Hannah brings to the crew? The Glimpse of the Void? Tara doesn't rely that much on having buried models anymore, so that becomes situational.

I really don't like how Aionus ended up, but he brings more to the crew that Hannah. He's a support piece that get's bonuses for killing, but he has 0 defensive abilities. So he is way overcosted for what he does, but even tho, the ability to unbury at will any buried models and gain 2 pass tokens, is quite worth it.

Yeah, and the upgrades in 2E allowed forced unburies (and burying worked differently back then so I always focused on burying models).  Maybe I need to adjust that approach a bit but I see your points in Aionus, though his lack of defense scares me.  I may have to save a soulstone for him in case he gets into a pinch.

    Crew is adjusted again, thanks!

    Tara (2SS)
    Karina
    Aionus
    Scion of the Void
    Nothing Beast
    Talos (Servant of Dark Powers)
    Hans
    Student of Conflict

  10. May take SoC in lieu of that Void Wretch, for a cheap way to put out the Fast condition without losing other models in the list.

Aionus and Hannah are really close in cost.  Aionus can't duo as a heavy bruiser.  Is it *worth-not "work"* considering changing those two out?  Maybe not?

  11. I don't know if it's better to run Servant of Dark Powers on Talos or on Hannah.  Hannah moving forward allows for more bury test targets end of turn one so Scion and Talos can start hurting it.

Then, as she usually gets somewhat scrappy with the 6' aura she has and her awesome melee, the healing when killing would help.

But Talos is quite slow, and he will only be in melee from Turn 2 on whereas Hannah can still bury/harm targets from a distance away....  Hmm.

  12. Quote

I did want to know if anyone was getting good use out of Talos. He seems like a good model but I haven't had the best results with him.

I use him with the Servant of Dark Powers upgrade, giving him the start of the game move to get where he can be used in turn 2 and then the added staying power of the healing on a kill-which he does quite a bit of for me against models in melee and the ones that I wittle down while buried.  He activates later in the turn, after taking a hit or two, and damaging both a model or two on the table as well as one off the table (buried).  His WP check for terror helps melt the opponent's deck too.  Armor 2 is great.

    I Run:

    Tara (2SS)
    Karina
    Hannah
    Scion of the Void
    Nothing Beast
    Talos (Servant of Dark Powers)
    Hans
    Void Wretch

I messed up and played with Bishop the other day, forgetting that Fast ended at the summation of the model's activation so the "easy unbury" model was not that at all lol.  Had to take him out of the list.
