  1. Yup! @Dr4mis, @Nikodemus provides the technical backing to what I said. You're welcome!
  2. The player whose model caused the bury chooses which enemy model (to them) the unburied model gets placed next to. I.E. You force a WP check on my model. I fail and it gets buried. So the next time I activate that model, YOU choose which model of mine it shows up next to (enemy to you).
  3. AUG 31st 50SS M3E TOURNAMENT RESULTS First off, I would like to thank everyone for coming out and making the area’s first sanctioned M3E event such a huge success! We had players drive from Ohio, Lexington, and all over the local area to play. 19 participants in all! VERY IMPORTANT: Thank you to everyone for putting in the effort to get there on time yesterday. It was a long day and getting started on time definitely helped us all out. Secondly, I would like to thank Steve and Heroes Comics & Gaming for hosting the event and having Wyrd product in stock so we could spend our prize support so quickly! He let me come in late Friday evening to set up the tables so we didn’t waste time on Saturday, which was a huge help. I hope everyone had a fun time and there were a few things that i’ll work to improve in the next events I run to speed the admin work of the event up but I hoped you all enjoyed it and felt it the running of the event met your expectations! Alright, results after that wall of text: 1st - Gene Beeber - Ressers ($60 Store Credit) 2nd - Antonio Menendez - Outcasts ($30 Store Credit) 3rd - Mike Schmitz - Ressers ($15 Store Credit) Painted Models All Day Raffle - Brian Kovac (Wyrd 10th Anniversary Aionius Model, NIB) “New Egg, Fresh Beginnings” Award - Sean Powell (New Crew Box of Choice)

  8. Grand Vizier @Kyle, for the record, @matt 's "Community Reputation" is "Huggable."
  9. Schemes and Strats to be flipped tonight! Stay tuned!
  10. Good calls, everyone! I have a lot of buildings and obstacles for blocking terrain but need to invest some time/money in making/buying some concealing terrain. How about Hazardous terrain innately on the board? (As in, aside from being created by the crews playing on the board) Do you all put a lot on there or commonly use it in your board set ups?
  11. So, when I was taught how to play the game, the person teaching me said that there "shouldn't be any part of the board where you can put your hand down flat, fingers spread, without touching terrain." In the main rulebook it doesn't clearly (that I have found) state how much terrain should be, or is recommended, to be used. We use scatter terrain to augment the buildings so there are not all too many open spaces but still plenty of room for models to move. I'm seeing pictures online of a wide range of the amount of terrain used and was just wondering what everyone's local take on that was! Share pictures and ideas! Here is an example of how I'd set up a quick game board:
  12. I suspect the hyperlink was added after.... -__- I hovered over that click here text for a good two minutes before typing up my reply. @Kyle truly is a Time Traveler, as his forum title suggests.
  13. Gotcha. There was no link in the post? Or did I miss it. Looking now and the "click here" has no link to it. Sorry!
  14. This is me signing up to test it! Should I await notice via PM?
  15. Ikiryo IS good and that ability of Karai's is SUPER awesome BUT, Kirai can easily be tagged as a focused summoner. Tara is more of a hybrid summoner. With 5 actions minimum a round (6 if you're playing her crew right) she can be a solid beat stick or scheme runner on top of getting a summon off once a turn. That's good. If she then could bring back the NB, which is arguably the strongest and toughest beater in the Obliteration keyword, I think it would be insane. I would just catapult it forward, let it kill half/cripple the opposing crew and then do it again 2 turns later, if they killed it. So yes, IMHO, being able to bring the NB back would be insane. NOTE: Wyrd, I do NOT want the ability to bring back the NB in future renditions of the Obliteration keyword. Thank you.
  16. WYRD, please note that I do NOT want this. Just noting that it would be insane.
  17. I feel ya on the summoning pool. We have to hit a high number (and usually SS for the suit) to get off the 2 void wretches to be summoned buried. (most other summons come onto the board near the summoner, where we have to wait for a fast condition to bring ours out or use an action of Aionus'. That said, as I wasn't apart of the Beta and refuse to run models that don't have officially released cards, I am waiting on my Faction book so I can start running the Void Hunters. I think Aionus and the rest of her crew focus on damage and especially, on the mobility they have while doing damage. The Wretches, Hunters, Scion, Tara, Talos, and maybe Aionus too all can hurt buried models from anywhere on the board. So I think the built in bury tests on most of the crews models is to get the opposition into the void for some damage OR burn through the opposing player's control hand. Aionus is expensive. No doubt about that. He doesn't seem to earn his worth in straight up damage but the added control of your crew that he gives you helps him earn his worth most of the time. There have been some games where I deploy, move once, with him, and then he stands there all game, supporting the rest of the board. If we could summon a second Nothing Beast (AFTER THE FIRST DIED so never would there be two friendly NBs on the table at once), that would be insane.
  18. Just under 3 weeks away and have a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! NO PAINTING OR FULLY BASED REQUIREMENTS! You just have to have the Wyrd Model fully assembled and on the appropriate sized base and it's legal for play! There will be a raffle for those players who use only fully painted and based models the entire tournament though!
  19. Hey all! If you're in the Louisville area, I'm usually available to get a demo or two each weekend and some weeknights (we just have to decide when and where works best)! If you played in any M2E tournaments in Louisville or Lexington in years past, there's a good chance I ran them (not to be confused with the Henchman who ran all the leagues, he's a great guy) We can meet for demos at Heroes Comics and Gaming or at the Louisville Game Shop. There are a few other small game shops here in town that have some play space so we can meet there as well, we just have to work it out in advance. You can direct message me on here and we can set up a time/place and if I can't meet you then we can reach out to the other local Henchman and get you taken care of! AUGUST SPECIFICS: At Heroes Comics & Gaming for a pick up game and offering demos on Aug 11 and 18. 50ss M3E Tournament on the 31st of Aug. at Heroes. Details here:
  20. PSA: Proxies ARE allowed for any models not yet released BUT are in the faction specific rulebooks. You MUST have the rulebook with you, or the printed M3E card for the model to play. Proxies should be identifiable as the model they are proxies for on the appropriate sized bases. Painting and basing requirements still apply.
  21. Hmm.... ahhhh, ok. That makes sense then, @Thedeadclaw (and I just read your PM) @SparrowRose, you've brought up some good questions. I am going to adjust the tournament to allow Henchman led crews. Hope you both can make it! Please go by the Facebook event page and mark "going" so I can try to get a headcount.
