  1. I sculpted it from milliput. Check page 6 of this thread, there's a picture of this base when it's unpainted.
  2. They are not that monochrome. My camera grays out some colours.
  3. Thank you. I don't know when I'm going to paint Sha Ren Zhe. I own the miniature, but I'm a bit preoccupied with malifaux & bushido at the moment. I'll start painting helldorado miniatures again at some point, because my friend Doctor Loxley got really into it recently. But right now I'm tripping over malifaux boxes.
  4. Another episode of Hobby sofa. Bill Anderson joins us once again. In this episode. I talk about how I make trees out of milliput for bases and terrain. We discuss Bushido, How Malifaux fiction changed between editions, and a bunch of useless facts. Hobby Sofa - 5 Crouching Sculptor Hidden Henchman. http://hobbysofa.coda.net/episode-05-couching-sculptor-hidden-henchman/
  5. There's a tutorial about making trees in the last Hobby Sofa. I explain how I did the tree in Rasputina's base. The podcast is under 2 houres, but the tutorial is in the first 30 minutes. Hobby Sofa - 5 Crouching Sculptor Hidden Henchman. http://hobbysofa.coda.net/episode-05-couching-sculptor-hidden-henchman/ ---------- Post added at 08:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 PM ---------- Listen to the podcast to find out
  6. Here's the finished Rasputina. I used different camera, because I smashed the one I normally use so some of the colours came out a bit monochrome. I hate this camera but that's the best I can do right now.
  7. I'm planning brothel interior bases with furniture, carpet and other odd bits like animal furs.
  8. In the last Wyrd Chronicles. There was a picture of new Winter Storm concept. And I have mixed feelings about it. The fact that he’s wrapping around the silent one is a cool idea. But he looks too much like a nephelim and ram horns don’t suit him. I missed Antlers. And perhaps he should have been more willowy. So what do you think is new better ram horns or original big antlers?
  9. Perhaps, but what about this. If you combine metal gremlins with new plastic ones, some will have noses and some will not. Also what about Wong He's got a nose, are they going to redesign him even thou he's plastic? Unlikely, but then again he's a master now. As I write this I suddenly remember that all wave one gremlins got pushed back (kind of) do you think there's a connection?
  10. The only thing that bothers me about the new gremlins is lack of noses... sigh
  11. It's milliput yellow gray. The cheapest putty known to man ---------- Post added at 05:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:18 AM ---------- I have no means of shooting videos I'm afraid. But in the next hobby sofa podcast I will be explaining how to make bases with tiny trees, with many progress pictures. We hoping to record on 30th.
  12. Sculpting binge continues. I guess I can't sculpt sensibly The judge is done so that means guild judgement starter is ready for painting. Next we have the Ice gamin. The sled going down hill will give the large ice chunk some momentum. (that's going to hurt) and there's one on top of frozen dog hose, and the last one is on top of frozen well.
  13. Thanks Mako, but almost isn't good enough.
  14. Alternative Perdita availability. Will we be abele to get her somewhere else later? Not including E-bay. Any chance it could get general release?
  15. Is body of evidence box costs $45 or $50. In new releases on front page it says $45, but in Black Friday sale it's $50. Which one is wrong?
  16. The plastic copycat killer is a very light model. The tiny contact point is only a problem when you picking him up. I haven't done mine yet. But I'm planning to sculpt a tiny armchair to stick the scissors into. (My Red Chapel gang will have a brothel interior bases.) I will be picking the model up by the armchair so no pressure on tiny contact point.
  17. Here’s 4 more bases. A quick note the death marshals are not glued to the bases yet, so they are not standing properly. Wendigo’s base is a bit minimal, but the guardsman he’s attacking is technically part of the base. Notice he’s wearing a new hat. I press moulded Samuel Hopkins’s hat, it’s smaller and doesn’t obscures his face.
  18. Is it actually worth showing work in progress shots or not? Just asking. I'm on a sculpting binge at the moment. Here's the bases for Willy, Lady J, and Scales. Trying to finish the bases of the rest of The Guild's Judgement crew. I'm getting rid of the coffins. Yes I know death marshals supposed to have them, but I don't like the look of them. Let's pretend death marshals can make them appear and disappear at will.
  19. I found lady J and scales really annoying to put together. Children of December including tiny Ice gamin were really strait forward.
  20. Finished Kang. This completes my Rail Crew. I don't even know what I'm painting next.
  21. Here’s another episode of Hobby Sofa. In this episode we are joined by Bill Anderson from Gamers Lounge. Doctor Loxley will be talking about how he makes his bases. I will give some advice about using different types of putty. We going to look at Helldorado miniature game. And I will review The Guild’s Judgement and Shadows of Red Chapel starters.
