  1. I have to confess I'm partial to a simple cheese and pickle sandwich. Nice mature cheddar and some decent pickle (Branstons preferably. The misses keeps buying the Tesco own brand stuff, too watery for my taste). Bread of choice would be a spelt loaf that Morrisons sells. Nothing too fancy, but great on a cold day at work with a decent cup of tea. This suddenly feels like the most British thing I've ever said.
  2. Nice. I remember about 13 years ago, my parents went on holiday for 2 weeks leaving me and my brother in the house. Mere hours after they had gone, half a dozen mates had set up their pcs in the kitchen and for a fortnight we did nothing but Quake, AvP and Half Life deathmatches. Dont think we saw daylight for the whole of it. Those were the days. What's the point in multiplayer gaming if you can't gloat right in someone's face?
  3. I was lucky in that regard. One of my mates was obsessed with the Me3 multiplayer so I just joined a few of his games to get the relevant experience. That way I could also ask him mid game "what does this thing do? Where should I go? What's that?". I find a lot of these multiplayer games have a lot of assumed knowledge these days. What happened to the good old days of "grab rocket launcher, find quad damage, gib everything that moves"?
  4. I was starting to think I was the only one left! Single player all the way. I reckon the only thing worse than a previously good singleplayer series with a tacked on multiplayer is a previously good singleplayer series with a cooperative mode tacked onto the main campaign (I'm looking at you Resident Evil and Dead Space). The new Transformers game, that has Grimlock in it, right?
  5. Panda Go Panda. One of my favourite films *grin*
  6. Looks like a very good game to me. I believe that some of the guys working on it made Thief, Deus Ex and System Shock. So think that's a winner for me!
  7. I'm located on my couch, watching 3rd and bird with my daughter. That couch is located in Dundee, but my FLGS is Intrepidations in Perth. I don't believe anyone there plays Malifaux, nor do they stock it :Sad_Puppet1: Cannot for the life of me work out how to add it to the map though.
  8. Yeh, you're right. It was still a good deal. I'll have a think what to do with the second creation.
  9. Thanks for all the posts so far. Some good advice to mull on I think. At the moment my selection of models is limited so subbing in other stuff is not straightforward. I think I'd rather get the hang of what I have so far, then use that as a reference point for what to buy next. Not a clue what I'll be facing, other than Hoffman. Now this is useful. Yes indeed I do have 2 electrical creations. I bought everything as a single lot after being told it was a good deal by a certain laughing simian. Oh well, you live and learn.
  10. After the stress and/or nervous breakdown that bloody model caused when building it I'd like to at least take it to the table once. Besides, I don't have any other minis available and no opportunity to get one before Sunday. Is the Steamborg particularly bad or inefficient? Or does the Large Arachnid just work well against Hoffman?
  11. Hi So this Sunday I'll be taking an important first step. My first game with my own crew *shock* I've played a few games using borrowed minis before but this time I'm taking Ramos to the table. Against Hoffman. I would like to give my opponent a few surprises before he gives me a right kicking, so I was wondering if anyone would have any tips or suggestions to perhaps make the game not so one sided. For reference I'll be using the Ramos boxset with a brass arachnid and some electrical creations / extra spiders for summoning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rangerbob
  12. Then we are in agreement! Excellent. Next step is to invent a time machine. This may require time to think and a flux capaciter. To the pub I say *beer.goggles*
  13. In his defence Mad Max was good. And also... er... hmmm... I'll get back to you *hmm*
  14. As an actual Scot I can truly say that movie is awful. I look forward to this orphanage of evil babies.
  15. Good report, enjoyed it. Shame about the copyright thing, but if you have fixed that for the next one it's all good.
  16. I thought this looked pretty good but when I tried to download it the other day the servers were getting hammered and I had no luck.
  17. Hah. You love it really *grin* Cheers David, that would be great.
  18. Hi New and everything, and taking the plunge into gaming outside of a well known UK gaming company. Thought I'd stop in to say hello before I return to lurking on the boards. Due to family, my work and odd shifts I don't get time to do much gaming these days but a friend of mine recently convinced me to try out this odd diceless game I'd never heard of. Now I've just picked up my first crew, Ramos, and a few bits and bobs to expand it a bit. I'm not really into the gaming scene around Dundee but if anyone knows of any decent places to get a few games of Malifaux in sometime let me know! Cheers, Mike
