  1. Indeed, that's a pretty weird thing to say about using dice as wound counters.
  2. I'd say that a fundamental part of a gimmick Teddy Crew is at least 1 Teddy! That sounds more like it! Presumably that's at 50pts, so what does the rest of your Crew look like, or are you taking the rest as stones?
  3. As the title says really. I'm just returning to the game since before 2E was released, and have been delighted to find that Teddy (the model that made me start Malifaux) is no longer Rare 1. I really fancy running a 3 or 4 Teddy list, but I'm not sure whether to run it with Z or Collodi (the 2 Neverborn masters I have) or someone else. How would you go about finishing the crew off at various point levels? Kade seems like the perfect choice. Weaver too, although her Teddy summon might be too hard to pull off. Thanks!
  4. I'm in a similar situation as I am returning to the game after a couple of years. I have 2 old Teddys which used to be Rare 1 but now have no restriction on numbers, and don't want to buy more than one arsenal deck just for the one extra card. Using one card for the rules and then their old laminated card for wounds might work, but it's a shame there isn't a way to buy extra cards, or download them like there used to be.
  5. Just a word of advice, the KR4 will be HUGE, and rather impractical to carry. If you don't mind that then go for it, but a 2 with extra cases to swap around might be more practical.
  6. I'm guessing that means that he would soulstone after his opponent acted too, although that isn't specified.
  7. So to sum up, yes, you can Shrug Off poison etc, but i believe it is only one token per use of Shrug Off, plus one extra per :rams
  8. The online copy has lots of useful/important diagrams removed, so you really need the paper copy anyway.
  9. That auction is located in Winchester, Ohio. The only Henchman from Winchester listed on http://www.malifaux.com/Henchman.php is.... Knoerzer :Confused_Puppet:
  10. One "case" is their standard box size, be it cardboard or metal. The cardboard boxes are more flexible, i have a Kaiser 2 with 3 cardboard boxes and swap the boxes depending on what army i am using at the time. The trays that go into a case are variable, and entirely up to you. As long as the trays' height add up to about 100mm, that's fine. The website has a case creator tool to let you vary the trays and see if they fit.
  11. Battlefoam are an awful, awful company, and nobody should give them any money. KR multicases are fantastic, email them a list of your models and they will suggest a set of foam for you.
  12. Widow Weaver kind of fits the theme, and can create counters to make into new Gupps.
  13. Ashigaru have a slower charge than their walk?
  14. It's a shame you can't hire McM, Von Schill and Killjoy in the same crew. Add Izamu to that and you have 2 ss left at 35ss for a dog to 1st turn a Rogue Necromancy. Not many bodies but should be tough to take down.
  15. He doesn't really fit with my McM crew, but i'm going to have to give him a try anyway, assuming there isn't a secondary model that you need to take as well, as then the ss cost becomes too high. I'm thinking McM, Chihuahua, Von Schill, Grave Spirit, Izamu plus dogs and whatever else i fancy. Maybe Punk Zombies for the theme.
  16. I've been playing Zoraida for a little while but had no idea that the Poison kept being reapplied every turn. When using Silurid against an Austringer, don't forget that Silent means the Austringer can't ignore any cover that the Silurid might have, from Chameleon etc.
  17. Partially true, except you don't have to summon Juju on the first turn.
  18. Is your friend a new player too? If so, it's entirely possible they didn't realise that summoned models receive Slow. As said above though, it's impossible for Juju to charge on the turn he is summoned as he only has 1AP and charging needs 2.
  19. How does falling back work with Marionettes? Do they stop when they are 8" away from Collodi, or do they fall back the full amount but then pull to within 8" on their next activation?
  20. As far as I understand it, the defender doesn't need to be within 1" of obscuring terrain to claim cover, the 1" rules are only for blocking terrain.
  21. I've yet to use half a bottle of that before the nozzle is blocked beyond fixing, which is annoying as it's fantastic glue.
  22. Don't forget that it doesn't stop terrifying.
  23. I'm thoroughly against pre-measuring, and feel it has been a really bad thing to introduce to WFB and 40K. I'd hate it in Malifaux too. I'm not sure if this is purely down to having learnt to play games "properly" or just fear of change. I'm also not convinced it speeds games up, as i could definitely see people measuring the threat range of every opponent's model and making sure they are exactly 1mm outside before they use every single AP.
  24. I had the feeling that everyone was focussing on it being Ressers that suffer from this, but it works equally for and against everyone. You don't even need H2W to do it, so i don't think the H2W mechanic needs to change.
