  1. To be fair, I don't have the actual Sonnia model- just looking at the computer renders!
  2. Sonnia is wearing a mask. There are rivets on the jaw. It's a mask made to look like her face, but it's metal. (I'm gonna get the metal version to have an unmasked version. )
  3. Thanks! Finished the undercoat, cane and pants. Now just the boots and base. I'm really sweating the base, since it will apply to the whole crew and is a bit of a commitment.
  4. Thanks all! I'm really proud of the mask, a lot of planning went into it. just a slight update, started on the coat lining and pants.
  5. I didn't like Lucius' mask (it didn't resemble the one in the art, and the eyes are kinda funky) so I smoothed over it with putty until it was a featureless dome, so I could paint the features on (I'm better at painting than sculpting!). And here he is so far! Still workin' on him.
  6. Hi! Gettin' back into Malifaux with a Lucius crew! First I made some bases outta wood circles and putty:
  7. Advantages of plastic miniatures: -No pinning -Plastic cement welds pieces together -Lighter, allowing for more dynamic sculpts -Paint is much less likely to chip -Way easier to clean mold lines, convert, etc. Advantages of metal miniatures: -Can be traded or sold to obtain superior plastic miniatures I love plastic, and Wyrd raised the bar with theirs, which are the best plastics I've ever seen (and the reason I'm getting back in!). So, I've thrown in my opinion.
  8. Woahwoahwoah. Is there M2 Ramos art I haven't seen?
  9. The models are pretty heavily stylized, which is something I like in my models. I think the only thing that needs "fixing" is the size, personally... everything else is taste.
  10. I think we've gotten pretty off topic. Maybe a new thread?
  11. I like how much lighter plastics are. I just sold two armies of roughly the same size on ebay... One was metal. Shipping the metal one sucked. I could go on about why plastic is superior in my view, but I think we've both made up our minds there, so I'll spare everyone! Also, to be honest, if they make more money for selling the same models... GOOD. Iike Wyrd and wanna see them stay in business.
  12. A release schedule, even a vague, ephemeral one. Just some sort of hint of what's in the oven, so we can stop wasting our money on the comfort provided by telephone psychics.
