  1. It's been a long time since i updated this thread. i just got my rail crew and love the models so much im trying to get some of my other Archanists models out of the way. Ramos gets an upgrade! And some buddies. Some Guild addons And slowly but surely trying to finish up my Lilith crew. Next up, a couple of more Archanists and then the start of my rail crew.
  2. And what is this mystery box to which you speak?
  3. I would go for just making him 7 SS. seems about what hes worth. and while your at it, drop the gamin by 1SS . And for the love of the miners that mine soulstones, give Ramos a larger cache!
  4. Same here. here's a question for you. how do you like the lazarus model? I found him to be rather static (even with all the ability to move around the limbs). No matter how i posed him, i just couldnt get something that looked dynamic enough. not really what i thought he was going to be. He should really be on a 50mm base too.
  5. Gotta have blue hair!! Love Tucco. the only thing im not sold on is the green (with the blue and red) on Lilith.
  6. So you got three extra box sets?! what did you order? sounds like a big mixup. maybe you got someone else's order. I thought you were talking about extra tape measure or something.
  7. Compare one of the rail worker heads to other models and you can get a feel for the scale/style of the plastics.
  8. Here are a few pics for scale comparisons. I definitely think kang could have been on a 30mm base
  9. i really like the coffins on the back, rather than the standard way. wish i had done that now in retrospect. Good job on the minis. i like the little details at the bottom of the coats.
  10. I found them pretty easy to put together. instructions shouldnt be needed, but maybe something to explain the extra options, as there are some. the different options are labeled with a -1 or -2 i think. once you pile all the pieces from the same label (ie, all the "a"s with the "a"s) you should be able to assemble the model. its not like the clamshells had instructions. also, i found that the crew looks pretty on par after you base them and under coat them (thats as far as ive gotten). the digital sculpting style does leave them to be be a little "thin". Overall, i was pretty satisfied with the rail crew.
  11. Nico, cause he wears his sunglasses at night. Plus, he's the BAUSS! (he has the chair to prove it!)
  12. burn through tons of episodes on Netflix. Also, a lot of what Nilus said too. I set goals a lot. i have so much to paint and i usually try to do a complete crew when i get into a painting kick. For tough models, or models i dont want to paint, i just tell myself i cant move onto the next crew till i finish it.
  13. I was fine about my purchase, until you showed me this. i wanted to use the main tree as the special terrain feature in the game. but now im looking at what i could do with that manor!
  14. These are Ok. they are a little expensive for such little detail. i bought a couple of the sarrisa ones, a little cheaper and the detail is excellent. if the anday stuff gained more detail, i would definitely get them as they scale better in comparison to the sarrisa stuff. from the pics i saw, anyways.
  15. I find it a bit disappointing that we have yet to see any of these new models painted by the studio yet.
  16. i completely agree with the OP on the hanging tree. a little disappointed on my 80$ LE model. if feel ilke there should be more detail in the tree itself and not so cartoony (or smooth). but on the other hand my rail crew came out great and im really satisfied with them. the one think im noticing is that with the new digital sculpting Wyrd is losing some of the character that was Malifaux. when placed next to the old scults, they dont seem to fit, style wise. and in fact, im not sure if i would have started Malifaux if the first and only models i ran into where the new ones. not saying i dont like them. but they dont have the same draw that the first ones had on me. (which is a shame cause id miss out on a great game). but that is all just my preference though.
  17. I'd pay around 50$ for the model, only because i dont like the fact of having a model that looks better than Perdita in my Perdita crew. She would go nicely, though, in my Lady J crew that often times includes Santiago. (though she would be competing with Miss Terious)
  18. Can you get it empty? i already have tons of trays. im not sure if i want to lose all the separate pockets on my standard bag. i would only use this on those occasions where i was doing a demo day and had to make sure i had a good selection of crews. other than that, im not liking the extra pockets. i would have to waste a whole tray for things like tokens, decks and markers.
  19. i will be hosting a demo day at battleground games in plainville MA. Date: thurs - 5/17 Time: 5pm Place: Battleground Games and Hobbies, 25 Taunton St., Plainville, MA spread the word! thanks -stinko
  20. my mixup has been recently corrected. sent an email, and a few weeks later got a package, albeit without any response to my email. i am happy though.
  21. yeah, i got my missing LSA legs yesterday so i cant be too butt hurt. how can you be too busy to write a quick reply? i dont know, maybe im asking too much because im in the commo business. if they are that busy, than business must be too good (which is good for our hobby). one way to look at it.
  22. what: I will be hosting an 8 week achievement based league for Malifaux at SNEG in Fall River, MA to promote more interest in Malifaux in the area. See attached rules and score card. Where: at Southern New England Gaming (SNEG), 657 Quarry St, Fall River, MA 02723 When: May 9th to Jun 30th. Playing days will be any Wednesday (4 to 10pm) or Saturday (10am to 6pm). who: me (jdinze@gmail.com for additional info) The length is intentionally long since the summer months are going to start rolling in. i know a lot of folks aren't going to want to spend all their Saturdays in doors so there isn't a ton of pressure to play twice every week. There is no fee to play, and there will be a prize awarded for the winner. The main intent is to spark up some more interest for Malifaux in the area (and maybe recruit some new members for our club:1_Happy_Puppet2:). for more information visit http://www.snegaming.org. Location can be a little tough to find. there is backside to the building and an unmarked door to an elevator you take to the 5th floor (our door is marked SNEG). Sketchy, i know, but its really a cool place to play. we are the only inhabitants on the 5th floor so we have a lot of space. we have over 10 tables with full terrain and storage space. we are a mature gaming club and have over 20 members and always looking for new freinds. use this number if you have trouble finding it or if you want more information, 774-286-6205 (ask for stinko). there is no fee for this, despite the listing on the website. -stinko Malifaux Achievement League.pdf
