  1. HA, I have that problem with painting I tell myself I'll just finish this one model *BAM* its 3AM
  2. Hey, thanks for the notice about the Convention but I won’t be able to make it. I have a presentation to give in Nova Scotia for school that weekend. I found a few others willing to start playing and was thinking about applying for a henchman position up here and start hosting local tourneys.

  3. Malifivilians- on the bais that its more fun to say.
  4. I've noticed that I have a lot more extreme opinions about the models in this game then most others, I either love them or hate then so theres not a lot of 'meh" for me here, whereas other games all I got was a "meh" reponse. I can understand where you are coming from, I higly dislike most of the guild models/fluff but love the Ressurectionists A singel crew will take you far with some minor changes so you dont really need to use models you dont like.
  5. I've had some items for sale that got a little out of hand, I had a few old coins up and they sold for way above what I was asking, also above thier apriased value, either they knew more then I did or sme people are addicted to bidding wars.
  6. i was going to start Warhammer 40K when I first got into gaming which was around the time of the finecast and prise raise introduction. By the time I had picked an army to go with, the internet was aflame with critizism and it didn't seem like a good investment at the time. Malifaux and FoW caught my eye and I never looked back.
  7. your welcome, the works of art that people can turn "mini's" into was what first got me into gaming.
  8. Hey there, I think I accepted your request, the internet here is really terrible so if it didn't go though let me know :)

  9. thats a great idea, I would love to create some character zombies...well theres my weekend planned.
  10. Welcome to Malifaux, I'm still learning the ropes as well and it dose seem a little daunting at first because the game is pleasently different. Theres a lot of great people on these forums and you'll have no problem learning the game good luck!
  11. good idea about the spray paint, I'll look into it, judging by the minis on your blog it seems you know what your talking about... haha
  12. Oh I'm still plaing on getting a few, just not as much as when I thought I would need 30-50 for every kill
  13. haha if I ever get my passport renewed i might stop by for a vist "I buy primer from the hardware store..." I can only get in gallon cans and its really expensive, oh and it said "for latex use" on the side... and from what I've heard about this great game I doubt I'll ever need a gallon of the stuff haha
  14. Yup thats great thanks, saves me from buying 100's of zombies haha
  15. EDIT: Title should read "Empty vessel" hey guys, I dont currently play (first army is in the post) but I was reading though the Statcards for the Resurrectionists and found this odd on Nicadems card: Empty Vessel: After killing a living or Undead defender with a Cane Strike or Decay, place a number of Mindless Zombies equal to the defender’s base size in base contact with the defender before it is removed from play. soooo if I kill a 40mm based model I get to put down....40 Mindless Zombies? I'm not bashing the rules, I love all of them but I think I'm reading this one wrong.
  16. gah everyone here is totaly awesome, thanks all @theonewhofell- thanks for the painting tips, I found a few guides that should clear things up, I did pick up some brushes from my local hardware store for under 3$.."they look like brushes so I guess they will work" is how far my expertise runs haha, I'm not sure of the sizes but its a set of 7, ranging from about the size of a pin head up to the head of nail, they all come to points except flat one 1/2 inch wide which I probly wont be needing. I'm still searching for primer and paints but we have decided on the Undertakers Lot box and the Ortega box set, the points look fairly even and should be a good time, I'll post pics of them when I'm done
  17. I have my eyes on the Ressurctionists (sp?) Knowing nothing about the game I am basing that solely on how the models look, I an thinking of getting the "undertakers lot" box set and some paint and a fate deck, a buddy of mine is getting one of the guild boxs...cowboy family? and a deck, then we may spilt on a rulebook. I look forward to painting my guys (im awful at it), anyone know a good spot to look for painting advice?
  18. Thank you for the advice about the henchmen, alas, living at the east coast of Canada the nearest one to me is about a 14 hour drive to Montreal haha
  19. Ok it all sounds pretty straight forward, I will have to read the rulebook before I make any choices, I was just making sure there arn't any surprises before I bought anything. Thanks for all your help
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, always nice to get a warm welcome haha, and thanks for the advice about the wiki and info on the main page, I guess I missed most of it. @Osoi, great guide, bookmarked!
  21. Hello All, I apologize if this is in the wrong spot, still getting the hang of the forums. I have just started learning about Malifaux and am completely lost as what to get first, so my question is what would make some good first purchases for someone who wants to start Arcanists and Neverborn? are there starter packs for each faction? what do I need in regrads to card decks? are there any other rule books I need other then the PDF "Rules Manual" ? Thank you all in advance
  22. Hello all, I recently decided to get into table top gaming and Malifaux looks like a great game, I have no gaming experience, but after seeing a lot of my friends moving away from GW I decided to start here first! I look forward to meeting you and having a great time learning the game.
