  2. LOL my car will go 88mph, but how big will my electricity bill be if I use 1,21 GigaWatts??
  3. tuesday it is... don't know which tuesday, though...
  4. Intro: with the time I spend writing for the Figure Painter Magazine, time I spend doing demos and other Malifaux events, I've had scarce time for my own projects. That's why I shipped my Seamus crew to Viruk in Poland for a bit of paintjob. Recently the minis returned... (Sorry for the crap tiny pic - but there are just so many of them ) Anyway, I asked Viruk for a basic paintjob, no freehands nor blood spatters nor weathering. I intend to add that once I finish the display base. Also, I didn't want any bases done - as they would all get their custom bases depending on the placement on the display base. Viruk I must add here has done a great job. really really pleased with it. (Thanks mate!) well, this weekend I went to Ikea and I found a cool looking photo frame that I think will give me enough depth for the ideas I have. to walk you through this: the green stuff on the sketch is water where I'll place the CCK with only pins going into the water (his base will be separate). The two Dead Doxies will be standing on a boardwalk made of wooden planks. Behind them there will be a big house/warehouse. Avatar Seamus will be placed on the roof of that building. To the left of the green stuff, there will be a brick river bank, slightly slanted. next to the river bank (left) there will be a cobblestone road with all the minis on it (Seamus, 3 plastic Belles, 1 metal Belle, Eowyn (representing another Belle) and Sybelle. To the far left there will be another house (with the entrance next to Sybelle). It will also have a balcony above the door where another metal Belle will be placed. I think I'll add some LEDs to the displaybase. probably some green ones in the canal water (for that creepy feel) and some orange/amber ones in the lampposts I intend to place in the street... and maybe some inside the warehouse/Sybelle's... and that's it... didn't know whether to plonk this thread in the miniature showcase or here. in the end decided it will be mostly about terrain building... P.S. don't expect much progress soon P.P.S. feel free to comment etc..
  5. Figure Painter Magazine issue #20 http://www.figurepaintermagazine.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=72 Beside the above, inside you can find another article in the series about the modular Malifaux board build as well as a report from the Agram Arena Winter, Croatia's biggest wargaming con that featured the December Horrors IV Malifaux tournament.
  6. the whole process (SBS tutorial) is described in Figure Painter Magazine (an e-zine, costing only 1 GBP): http://www.figurepaintermagazine.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=69
  7. well, the new plastics help a lot (by not being top heavy) but to be honest, I use my boards for friendly gaming so we take care of our minis - and there is no time limits (usually) so no hurriedly moved minis... I guess the board wouldn't be that suited for tournaments. however, I've not yet had a single casualty on the board (falling over or chipping)
  8. thanks guys for the kind comments managed to find two pics of my other two boards (the terrain on them is club's)...
  9. heh, not done yet. Built yes, done no. and still a fair ammount of work to do... Just finishing the texturing (gravel and sand on a couple of modules), also casting some lanterns (for Hungering Darkness' module) and braziers (for Nicodem's module) for the upcoming issue (in December). then it'll be paintjob in January issue and resin work/Water features and posters + other bits with weathering in February issue. Then I hope I'll get to play a game on it and make a battlereport in March issue...

  11. Hi guys and gals, I'm Marko and I'm the henchman from Zagreb, Croatia. we have a relatively large crowd here playing Malifaux in a gaming club called UMS "Agram" (link if someone wants to find out more)... I organize a weekly demo/open play night on wednesdays, usually run four leagues a year (winter, spring, summer and autumn), and have five smaller one day tournaments (one coming up next saturday - dec.6th) and one large international two-day tournament in July: http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/99572-agram-arena-summer-2014-international-malifaux-tournament-zagreb-1920-july-2014/?p=709713 (the announcement thread for this year's tournament)
  12. and this is my hillside table for Malifaux:
  13. these are my club's tables. (pics taken at one of our events)
  14. Well, this is nice. a whole subforum for terrain.. I'll showcase here some of my tables as well as some of my clubs. To start things, here is a modular table for Malifaux I am building (for 19 months now) for Figure Painter Magazine (probably to be given away as a prize to one of the readers..) The modules are 1'x1' so the table itself is 3'x3'. They are totally removable and interchangeable with electricity running through all the modules (to make it light up)... among other things it has a steampunk computer blinking, and a showgirl spinning on a pole. And I have to thank Wyrd, too, for sponsoring the build with various models and bits.

  17. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!! Due to the fact that GW is introducing considerable changes to the game we have, after consultations and playtesting, decided not to allow the use of Undead Legion and Chaos Legion at this year's Agram Arena Winter. The changes that have been made, we hope, will ensure a more enjoyable experience. The new rulespack can be found at the exact link as the last one (please clear your cache, just to be sure): http://www.ums-agram.hr/app/webroot/dokumenti/AAW2014.pdf and the new Army Composition is here (same as before): http://www.ums-agram.hr/app/webroot/dokumenti/aaw2014-AC.pdf NOTE: Both files have been changed, the changes being in red so please check your lists once again before submitting. and, yes the registrations have officially started (so hurry to get your extra Sportsmanship points ) Rules for the Malifaux doubles tournament will be published within 7 days! so watch this space...
  18. hehe.. no library, but a sheriff's office with a file cabinet. close enough? no billiards table, but a "nightclub" with pole dancers spinning. close enough? no arboritum, but... well.... you got me here
  19. heh, still needs finishing touches (as can be seen on the video...) couple of parts of a wall missing on this module. also a couple of doors missing on some rooms within a couple of modules. and then it's texture time (on three or four modules with gravel (not paved with brick, stone or cobbles)). then painting then rust and weathering then detailing (posters and what not)... with rust and weathering repeated if needed on some bits and posters... and to finish - resin water effects where needed.... and then, I get to play a game on it. before it gets shipped to a worthy winner of an upcoming Figure Painter Magazine competition...
  20. the computer in the Ramos module is done: just click here for the video
