  1. I thin the cream parts look really good and work well with these guys, it's a shame the green didn't show up, although I can see it on the last one and it doesn't look too bad, I like it. Nice job on Samael too, those eyes are looking good, I can never get mine to come out! Great stuff! That static grass sticks out like a sore thumb in photographs, I get that with almost every picture I take XD
  2. That's one the best colour schemes I've seen on Bete Noire, good job! The painting is nice and clean the dry look, my paints tend to end up like that. Also the blood looks nice. And the gravestone looks great with her, I can never get the models off the tab to stick them on anything else XD Awesome stuff! :1_Happy_Puppet1:
  3. She has her uses, just remember Malifaux very much adapts to play-style, just because she doesn't work for many doesn't mean she won't work for you. I don't intend to stop using her. :Smug_Puppet2:
  4. Myranda Transforms into a Beast. If during a game a model that wasn't previously a Beast becomes a Beast, it does not mean all models of that name are now Beasts, only that specific model is a model. Myranda does not Transform into that specific model, she Transforms into a model of that name, a new model. Therefore she cannot Transform into anything that does not have Beast printed on its card.
  5. You aren't allowed to take away more wounds than you have, when you die this is most likely 0, therefore you can't Self Mutilate for any damage at all. You also cannot deal so much damage to yourself so as you would die, or in other words be reduced to zero wounds. Slow to Die does not come into play if the model is sacrificed, so that's a moot point regardless. If a model was killed outright by some effect, lets say the Punk Zombie has full wounds, a Nurse puts Life Support on it so it will die at the end of its next activation, then as I read it you could use Self Mutilate during your Slow to Die Action, because the Rules Manual makes a specific difference between being killed outright and being reduced to 0 wounds.
  6. If this is your first time painting I'm pretty impressed! The colour choices are nice, and the purple works well on Nicodem, good job. It might just be the pictures but the stone on the bases looks a little bright and monotonous, could use a wash. Might be the lighting affecting the camera though. Great stuff!
  7. I used Pine O Clean on some plastic models not too long ago, it didn't take off the paint but it made it soft enough to scrape of with a toothpick. If all else fails, it might be an option.
  8. I am very much looking forward to doing some white, I think it will be a good indicator of my skill. *happy*
  9. I see what you mean, interesting point, in actual fact I never even thought about it until now, coming over from Warhammer, having a unifying colour scheme didn't seem to have any impact on Malifaux crew XD Obviously up until this point I'd tried to do a green to kind of time them together, but it just didn't seem to pass over into the Belles. Anyway, it's an interesting point, thanks for noticing. It might be worth noting that on the table the colours aren't quite as dramatic, my poor camera skills makes the bright colours (Belles and Hawaiian Shirt Guy) look quite a bit brighter than they actually are. I'm soon to start a McMourning Crew and I intend to do another unifying colour, not sure what though. The Belles are kind of an in-between unit at the moment, since I will likely be using them with both Nicodem and McMourning. If I ever get Seamus and Sybelle I'll try to have them fit with him! :1_Happy_Puppet1: Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Also your guys are looking pretty nice, and that unifying theme is very noticeable there. :Smug_Puppet2:
  10. Oh sorry, when I said what don't you like about the Mindless Zombies I meant what don't you like about the Rotten Belles XD My bad, sorry. Thanks for Wyrdpainting!
  11. I do have a pack of Mindless Zombies, however I haven't painted them yet. Anything in particular you don't like about the Mindless Zombies?
  12. Nicodem has raided the brothel! And a group shot. Any comments are welcome Any critiscm is welcome too, I'm trying to up my painting after years of making semi-defined blobs so if you think you can help me out then please do Thanks :1_Happy_Puppet1:
  13. It's a Pulse, not an Aura, all the surrounding models gain the effect immediately and continue to be affected by it until they fulfil the criteria.
  14. Did anybody else's' Rotten Belle Stat Cards come with Grimy Parasik instead of Parasol? I just wonder if it's an earlier card or some strange printing mishap that doesn't make any sense to me. Also it has V2 printed on it. Thanks!
  15. Nicodem finds himself needing to take a Morale Test due to a model with Terrifying, does he have to take one or can use Embrace Death to become Undead and avoid the test altogether? The argument being that he can only use Embrace Death when affected by talents which affect Undead, whereas Terrifying is a talent that affects the Living, and not the Undead. Thanks guys.
  16. I just bought a Marcus box set and the Marcus model came with a fist holding the flame, the hand holding Shillelagh, a closed fist (holding nothing) and a spare machete. Anybody else made a Marcus using the last two pieces? I haven't seen them in any pictures.
  17. Nope, Drain Souls causes them to be sacrificed and sacrificed models don't drop counters. You've got to chop them up yourself if you really want their corpses.
  18. Oh, me too. They're definitely worth a 4SS Cost, with the limited ranged support in the Resurrectionists the Crooked Men offer up some invaluable range. Shafted works well in Strategies and Schemes where area denial is beneficial, and at any point you find an important choke point forming. Not to mention they are decent hand to hand fighters with some good triggers. Not to be scoffed at.
  19. It can't be Cheated, if it's not a Simple or Opposed Duel, or a Damage Flip then a model can only cheat a flip if it is explicitly stated it is allowed to, as in the Case or Mortimer's Exhume, as per page 24 of the Rules Manual.
  20. I think that sound about right, page 34 almost explicitly states that they way it works and then goes on to give an example that is in favour of this. If you have Fast and Slow you lose both, therefore you can gain either again. I agree with you Toonook.
  21. As per the timing rules I would think it would go something like this: Ronin activates while still Harmless, Ronin uses Run Through, this requires Harmless to be lost, as per timing, Run Through is paused and the next effect, Harmless, is resolved. Harmless is lost, Ronin continues to use Run Through, the intimidating model no longer has any effect over the Ronin. I believe however this would be different if Run Through actually made you perform a Charge and not just Push the Charge distance, because Charging a Terrifying model activates its effect, then we'd have to figure out which technically activates first, Harmless removing itself or Terrifying causing a Duel.
  22. I'm just about to start playing McMourning and I quite liked it, it was good, fairly unbiased and had a decent variety of strategies with different minions. I thought it might be worthwhile to note that the Grave Spirit can't offer its Armour +2 to McMourning or Sebastian, which leaves mainly the Flesh Construct, which it might have a hard time getting to if it's summoned. Just my two bobs, my first opinion of the Grave Spirit had it looking great, but when you take a closer look it doesn't fit with McMourning well (my Nicodem will love him though), and if this guide is at all aimed at newer players it might be an idea to distinguish this. Good job!
  23. Alright, I did some further reading and here's what I have come up with. Specific AP is dished out at the beginning of the activation, so Myranda recieves her +1 Melee Specific Action Point at the beginning of the activation. Myranda then uses (1) Shapechange to Tranform into the Sabertooth Cerberus. Transform is a Replace Effect, therefore the Replacing Model (Cerberus) keeps all of the Replaced Model's (Myranda) Effects. Assuming the Specific AP granted from Melee Expert is an Effect, then it will carry over to the Cerberus for the turn in which it was Transformed. Should Myranda have had enough Wounds left when she Transformed then the Cerberus will also receive (+2) Two Headed. Myrnada now has 1 General Action Point, 1 Melee Strike Specific Action Point and 2 Bite Strike Specific Action Points. Agree?
  24. Hi, Bit of confusion over Transform, if Myranda transforms she exchanges her Statistics with that of the model she transforms to, she does not gain their Spells, instead retaining her own. What happens to the Talents? I would have assumed she lost hers and gained the models, but reading the Pullmyfinger Wiki it says Transforming into a Cerberus can allow her to stack Melee Expert with Two Headed. So does she use her own Talents and the transformed models? Has somebody just written in the wrong thing? Thanks guys.
  25. I'm planning on putting my Rotten Belle on a base that will require me to cut the tab off beneath its dress, however its got a lot of surface area attached to it and I imagine its going to take a decent amount of cutting, scraping and filing to get the dress bottom flat. I've already painted my model and don't want to manhandle it too much. Any ideas how to cut it off quickly and smoothly? Thanks in advance :1_Happy_Puppet2:
