Hey there Wyrdo's, After much time away from the game I am back and ready for some hot Malifaux action! A bit of back story (you can skip this if you don't care) I was once a Henchman living out in the eastern US. This was in the days of 1.5 going strong. I had started a good group of folks playing at our local store. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to move to a different state rather abruptly. During that year I had moved around a total of 5 times. Needless to say I didn't have time to play, let alone get my minis out for the hobby. Once I finally settled in a new location a year later 2E was being released with model updates and whatnot. Even though the place I was living was a larger city than where I was before, Malifaux was losing popularity in that area. I was able able to paint a bit but my play was limited. I was at least able to introduce the game to some friends thankfully. In that time I sold off about half my collection to condense down to my preferred Masters and Factions. I lost a lot of conviction to paint and do the hobby side at that time. It wasn't a great time in my life for it anyways. I ended up moving again but now up north to Minnesota. After moving there (from across the country) I got married, bought a house, moved, renovated said house, and FINALLY got my miniature area set up for painting and play. I am excited to paint, play, and get some organized play going in the city where I live now. I am now going through all my miniatures to see what I want to keep, what to trade, and what I need to base and paint. I have a new paint set coming in the mail next week to update many of my colors. I am very excited and my love of the game and hobby is back. It is such a great feeling to be inspired again. Right now I have the small rule book so I am at least familiar with the base rules of 2E. I also have Wave 1 and Wave 2 of the arsenal decks for the factions that I own to go along with the old models that I still have. Anyways onto my game questions, there are many things I have missed and not kept up on. What are in the large rule books? Specifically Crossroads, Shifting Loyalties, and Ripples of Fate. Models and fluff like before? What order did these come out in?? Have there been any reprints in the past year or so on cards or in the small rule book with FAQ and Errata or should I just look online? Are Master Avatars still used in the game? I own a couple of the models. I am pretty sure the rules are in shifting loyalties but I could be mistaken. Are the way they work similar as before by doing a predetermined action then spending AP to transform? Do they still change the masters style of play similar to how they worked before? What the heck are Generalist Upgrade Decks 1 & 2? Do I need the Shifting Loyalties Campaign Deck for normal 1v1 game play? I read a brief description that this campaign deck comes with a ton of cards. What is the Strategy and Schemes Deck? Is this just to help make game set up easier? What are the Emissaries? Are they similar to Effigies or are they totally different? I LOVE the models for these guys but I am just confused on what they are really. Who the heck is Master Queeg? He seems to be a solo henchman which I have not seen before. Same with Aionus. Are there other solo henchman? Thanks for your help in advanced. I will be posting more questions as they come. I look forward to becoming a henchman again and becoming involved in the community online and in a new store!

Wow this sculpt looks fantastic! I think we all agree it is much better than the original. Its much more dynamic. The current Lazarus just looks so stiff but I think Wyrd was trying something different with the moveable parts on the original model. Anyways I hope he can be used *well* with Ramos and the Aracanists. I am actually trying to get rid of my outcasts and switching over to Arcanists soon

I think the wild man on the far right might just be The Judge without his hat and mask on. Think about it. He's an advanced Marshall that has a gunblade i.e. The Long Arm. The long arm can even trigger via Bullets and Blades to melee then shoot in melee range. My money is that scraggly fella is The Judge alternate model!

For my particular strategy on any given game I enjoy taking lots of small models to out activate the opponent (ressur player here). When I see a large threat I usually let all my small models move first to see what my opponent plans to do with the big threat. Once the opponent has used that model thats usually when I turn my focus to it at the end of the turn (out activating) then I will try to bring it down at the beginning of the next turn if I was successful in bringing its wounds down enough to kill it the turn before. That is if I need to kill the model. If I really don't need to kill it I won't waste my resources to do so. I play to the strategies and schemes to win the overall match. If I don't NEED to bring it down I will usually kite it and send a model to bog it down away from the rest of my crew or the strategy points on the map. That way the big threat is only focused on the one model for a turn or two. If I get lucky that model will last 3 turns and that is half the game right there taking away from the time the big threat could be used on the rest of my crew. I have had many opponents get "tunnel vision" with their big guy focusing on killing the one or two small models, wasting resources, while I use the rest of my crew to move around and get objectives.

Hey all. I am located in the US. I am looking for the new additions to the plastic line up. The Scribe and Captain Dashel from Lucius' new box set (not the whole box though) Von Schill and the Steam Trunk. I own the metal versions of both of these box sets but I need the totems which were only released until now. I dont want to have to buy the two entire box sets just for a couple of models out of each. If anyone has these available, fantastic. If not then I may just have to break down and get these myself although I prefer not to. Anyways have a great one!

Hey all! I am looking to proxie a few of the totems that have newly been released for certain masters such as Von Schill and for Lucius. I have the old metal sets and do not feel the need to get their new box sets yet I do not own the totems for these new masters. Any Ideas for proxies for The Scribe and the Steam Trunk (I think is its name)? It would be a great help to find a model super similar so I dont have to get a full box set just for totems.

Cool thanks for the help everyone! I managed to find the stone cards that you speak of I had overlooked them and since I have just gotten the arsenal decks. I will be getting the ten thunders for the ancestors and McCabe and friends. Is that in wave one deck or wave two deck for McCabe and Yan Lo? I would be sad if I ended up getting the wrong deck.

Am I missing cards in my arsenal deck? I just purchased the ressur arsenal pack wave 2. I cannot find Yin, the Penangalan and I also do not have knowledge of these stone upgrades. I saw a discussion on them in another thread and I was very confused. Should I have one from either arsenal pack?

I just got the box in the mail. First I love the new M2e cards. I didn't get to do any beta testing so seeing the new cards in person for the first time was cool. Although I am a bit confused by flurry when it says you can make 3 attacks that cost 1 ap each. I also don't know what a M1 attack means (melee 1 inch?). I was impressed with the models themselves. Each is unique in its own right and look very creepy. I especially like the detail on the wings of the valedictorian that looks like faces sewn together. As for the stats they seem pretty standard and each could be useful depending on your strats and schemes. To me it seems they would be good for holding a point on the map or getting some objectives. Heck they still aren't as underpowered/over cost as say the ice golem or the crooligans from 1.5. I have been seeing the comparison to the punk zombie as far as cost goes but since I didn't do anything in the beta I don't know what the punk zombies stats are like in 2.0. What I can say though is these models seem pretty resilient. I can't think of any other models in the Ressur faction that have armor and HTW1. Also 8wds is pretty big when some masters have only 10. I mean I know from 1.5 the PZ only had 6. I've seen him go down in one hit before. All in all I'm happy there are more Horrors out and I love the models to add to my home faction.

Or if you want to be the henchman for the store that's fine. I don't want to step in your toes since you were there first. I didn't know there were any other henchman for the store to earn points and all that

Oh ok gotcha. I didn't realize there was anyone running events. I had talked to an employee and he said he didn't think there was anyone to fill the henchman role. If you want to team up sometime let me know.

Like I said when 2.0 is releases that's when I'll be running events. I haven't been there in a long time so I don't know what type of games have been played recently. Hopefully I can get more people in for 2.0 and get the ball Rollin again

Heyyyyy that's where I play! The Internet is a small place lol. Also The store doesn't have a henchmen anymore. I will be filling that role actively when 2.0 is released. I have been very busy most Thursdays but with my new job I think I will be able to start running events!
