Try catching up on Asher! Being introduced to his stuff by someone who has read it all was like having teeth pulled! "Yeah, The Skinner is a great place to start Asher!" I was told, so like a lost 8 yr old I delved into his amazingly rich world of descriptive landscapes and amazing sci fi originality, only to be met with a huge range of unexplained parties and quick mentions of things that have taken books to explain previously. It was like listening to an "in joke" and really not having a clue when to laugh. " Stick with it" and " here borrow a few more books, you'll see, he's absolute genius" I was told. So I did. I painstakingly dragged myself through about nine books still thinking I understand nothing of this guys mindset and what though process he was trying to instill in his readers. Until I read the one about cormack as a kid. And it was like a penny dropping. Why oh why didnt I read this one first!!! The moral of the story is this... Even though you might not enjoy what this author is righting about presently, they do have on and off days and ensuring the mass populace enjoys every word you write is impossible, but the next you read in the series may wake up sorry for the running Talking about annoying books... Here is a proposition quit moaning and grow a pair alp bomb players included. I happen to quite like the challenge of tearing one apart with he ortegas, and as a mostly neverborn player find it ruins the fun of the game to hit them with something so easy, especially when there is so much else the neverborn can pull from there ass. If this problem really is broken then why do alps die so easy? There are loads of ways around it, hence the fact that all these experienced players keep coming up with effective, plentiful and devastating ways around it. It's not jus the forums, friends of mine roll their eyes when I play neverborn for fear of it, even though I don't use alps for the "it's too easy" thing. If it really is causing loss of sleep or reduced enjoyment in the game then your opponent should have the decency to identify with this and do something about it! No matter how blind it's hard to enjoy a game that someone else really isn't. Sit tight, await ruling, endure the waves of alps and fill them with lead. Failing that... Poke your neverborn friends in the face until they bin their alps

And oddly enough lovecraft married an american called Sonia Green. Sound like anyone we know? Anyone read dagon? Could be wierd tales, short stories I'm thinking of it's been a while since I read lovecraft, but in one of those books there is a child called lucius who is an orphan driven mad by his "dreams" but none of the nurses will believe him. As soon as I picked up malifaux I remembered this story and instantly linked the dreamer to lovecraft! Freaky. And if ya look on wiki at the young pic of lovecraft the resemblance is uncanny... Well hang on! I suppose he does look a bit like any 10 year old caught in the headlights

First up can use as many (up to 2 unless lcb makes an appearance) or as few as he likes. You can spend (0) to use nightmare friend, then leave chompy stood there with 3ap and melee expert, but that means the dreamer was in prime position and ya didn't need to spend any ap getting him to the party. The shared ap thing means that if either dreamer or lcb don't swap places during their activation, they only get the normal 2 general ap plus (if lcb is in play) 1 ap from melee expert. If one of them is unburied the number of general Ap you can use between them goes up to 3. Think it's just a mechanic to stop chompy getting his full 2 general ap after the dreamer has had his run of the place. He would be sick otherwise (wink wink )

Cheers dude! Eastborne and Hastings is a little out of the way for "just passing" malarkey, but me and my malimates do some stupid distances for a game of malifaux so if we on a road trip in your area we might just take ya up on that. Cheers stonedog

Here's another one that haunt my sleep; If a model with trigger happy trigger shoots and kills the dreamer ( then swapped for Lcb) does trigger happy effect chompy, or does it just not work because he wasn't the original target?

Not that I know anything at all but; I would say at the start of the automatic fire, when you declare your targets, the dreamer ain't an option, henceforth you declare who your targeting, and follow through with all of them. And if there is only 2 nightmare knocking about then the automatic fire would be null and void because you have only 2 possible targets at the actions start. Until them pesky nightmares are gone you ain't touchin him. But like I said at the beginning, I know nothing and am grateful for every clarification you kind and knowledgable dudes can provide. But doesn't "night terrors" give nightmares "terrifying" or increases the "terrifying" tn? Pretty sure it doesn't increase range of anything. @calmdown: well said!

Another quick perdita question; with regards "see the unseen"; it ignores increases in rg and df. I assume this means and increases in df that the model she's shootin at may get? And what causes a rg increase? Then there is the last Line about ignoring duels that target models. I really can't fathom what duels this refers to cos it really can't mean all duels. strange wording. Cheers dudes

Sounds like a dam fine idea. We don't get much opportunity to socialise with other malifaux players And this seems like a great way for us to spread our malifaux seed. Thanks a lot dude and don't forget to keep us posted
