  1. Don't think I've seen a painted Lazarus yet . . . here's mine, almost done, along with his little buddy the Student of Conflict. Photo wasn't great so I've tweaked the color and brightness a little in Photoshop.
  2. I've been working on and off for a few weeks now on some miniature posters for your Malifaux terrain needs. I was hoping to have more done by now, but these are the ones I'm satisifed with so far, so I decided to go ahead and throw them out there: http://www.scribd.com/doc/103969712/Malifaux-Posters-1 I'd be happy to hear any critiques or comments.
  3. Yeah, exactly. If the Decoys weren't points of vulnerability for the real thing, then you could just throw them in your opponent's face without caring how obvious it was that they're fake, and there wouldn't be much deception to the Avatar of Deception. Right?
  4. So far so good! I really like the color scheme on Hoff's constructs. A simple dark reddish brown wash would look good on a lot of these guys.
  5. Enough of this puerile raillery!
  6. Watch out on the upper legs, the part with exposed cables faces front and the armored part, counterintuitively, faces the rear.
  7. Who will be the first to post pictures of a fully painted Ototo, or Hungering Darkness, or Lazarus? We're dying to see them out here in internetland.
  8. "If you draw a gin hand while a friendly Jakob Lynch is in play, you may immediately receive +2 VP and end the game."
  9. Or . . . is it that claiming you're too far gone to make the joke, in fact, was the joke? :Paralyzed_Puppet:
  10. From what was said, it sounds like if he chooses to dismount his horse just goes away for the rest of the Encounter.
  11. Great writeup! This guy might make me grab another Guild crew.
  12. 5. At long last, what's the deal with Moustachio von Chainfist?
  13. Safe for work (although probably unlistenable to anyone under 35)! [EDIT: Weird -- I just meant to post the link, but it automatically embeds.]
  14. How about: "This is a Henchman, she has some unique hiring rules I can explain later if you're interested. Okay, now here's how you play."
  15. You might be surprised. On an indoor board with corridors -- or alternately, Ice Pillars in front of Rasputina to block enemy LoS and then use a flanking model to bounce spells off of. Basically, anytime Rasputina wants to hide from dudes and still shoot them. I would suggest giving her a try without worrying about how you're going to "set up" Ice Mirror and just take things as they come, it might be easier than you think. ---------- Post added at 06:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:03 PM ---------- Rasputina was my first demo game and the Ice Pillars were actually a big sell for me. My Warmachine/Hordes army has a character who is supposed to magically sculpt stone to her will, and the rock wall she makes is about tall enough for Charlie Brown and Linus to rest their elbows on -- but not for too long, because it goes away after a round. Getting to make ice columns that were 20 feet tall (in scale), and weren't going anywhere unless you dealt with them, felt like a real magic spell by comparison.
  16. The lectern for the dove with the book is a great idea, I wish I'd thought of it. (Actually, I wish Wyrd had thought of it!) I think the rickety stage has character, but if it's not what you want, maybe try superglue instead of wood glue (you probably knew that, though).
  17. I generally paint custom, but occasionally some aspects of the studio version stick in my mind as important to preserve; like, I feel Colette has to be a redhead and the Viktorias have to be blonde.
  18. So Nicodem can Decay himself, but Lilith can't transpose herself -- I'm just thinking that the language of the rules may be a design tool that lets them tweak the power level of spells by turning on or off the "attacking yourself" option . . .
  19. Well, first of all, is there even a spell in the game that 1.) is an attack, and 2.) specifically states that it may target friendly models?
  20. If they told him they don't want to play against Hamelin, as he says, they're probably not planning to play at tournament level anyway.
  21. Good to know -- thanks, everybody.
  22. Bonjour! Anyway, getting back to English -- welcome to the forum! Are there a lot of Malifaux players in France?
  23. I'd like to see a batrep using the change that Voracious Rats doesn't trigger off a Malifaux Rat being killed. Might we then see Hamelin grabbing more cheapie minions from other factions, which seems to have been the design intent to begin with? [EDIT: Umm, just flipped through the books and that's actually not very many models . . . still, though, might be worth a try?]
  24. When a model targets itself, does it still have to flip to defend? Thinking of Lilith targeting herself with Transposition, here.
