I think there may have been a couple of changes since the beta. The Merc page in the rulebook says "if the model could be hired by the crew regardless of the merc characteristic ... the model does not count against the crew's mercenary limit". The "hiring outside your faction" restriction appears to have gone on mercs and is now all about if they could've been hired without the merc characteristic eg Last Blossom and Misaki.

Does anybody know yet?

Does the example quoted on page 53 of the M2E rulebook cover this? It goes on to say that all effects which are not conditions and other than a list of which Misery does not fall into, ALWAYS stack unless they say otherwise. The example given is Canine Remains and their 1" aura handing out -2df if you are within 1" of two of them. I'm not assuming myself to have any special incite (pun intended) into this but that certainly cleared it up to me.

There hasn't been a specific update to the Malifaux module for m2e yet. People are proxying models and measuring deployment zones and that appears to be working fine

Hi everyone, After the success of the previous two rounds of Vassal leagues I am pleased to announce that sign ups are now open for the next round of leagues. What I will ask from you: league games to be played within the time frame and results to be communicated to me along with any extra material required (scheme pool etc). Obviously a mature attitude as this will only work if we all work together. What you can expect from me: fixtures to be sent out on time every fortnight by email and posted on the forum. League breakdowns and stats to be posted to the forum at the end of each round. --- Format for the leagues will be as follows: 6 players per league (meaning 5 games per player). 1 game a fortnight Fixed faction No fixed game size (agree with your opponent before the game) Second wave of open beta to be allowed unless players choose not to. This will mean the leagues will finish in the first couple of weeks of December, just in two for the launch of wave 2 of M2E in January. Players can sign up for 1 or 2 leagues depending upon how many games they feel they can play in a fortnight (1 or 2). --- Sign ups are open to anyone regardless of their location and the information I will need from you at the moment is: Name Number of leagues you wish to sign up for Fixed faction choices for those leagues (can be same or different) Forum name (if you have one) Twitter account (if you have one) Email address you are willing to share with other players Confirmation that you have Skype installed Time zone (see here: http://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/ and give the number that your time zone is in with relation to UTC). Must admit I'm rather excited about this. It'll be great to see everyone and say a fond farewell to a system that has served us well and enabled us to build this great community.

That's a lot easier for Misaki than Von Schill. VS excels in lots of areas but his 1" leaves something to be desired

Misaki can declare charges when engaged (same as Von Schill) but the only benefit to charging the model you're currently engaged with is to reposition your model. A charge is still a (2) action or you could just take 2 (1) melee strikes which would work out the same.

Mike has sold all of his worldly possessions and is following Phish around on tour so it falls to Joel and Jon to hold down the fort. We don't know where Conrad is. We don't want to know. After a brief recap of a week of gaming, we dive in with Joel explaining his recent focus-wobble. Using that we segue into a chat about the changes from 1e to 2e using the pre-game sequence as a structure. Last time I checked this was a forum being run and hosted by Wyrd. They surely have the right to "police" these forums however they wish. Irrespective of people's personal opinions regarding this decision, you cannot deny that Wyrd have the right to make it. If it means that the forums will be a place that people enjoy spending time again, that would be great. I know plenty of people who have stopped posting on here recently due to a perceived (correctly or not) hardening of tone and polarisation of opinion. I cannot speak for Rathnard and Mako (having never met them and only spoken to Adrian casually, although I did send him a christmas present :S) but having met MythicFox several times he would be my first choice as someone to take this role. He is someone who is passionate about the game and (more importantly) passionate about people enjoying themselves playing it and talking about it. Each person comes to the forum for different reasons much as each person plays Malifaux for different reasons. Speaking personally, I have not been posting on the forum recently due to the reasons I stated above. This decision will (hopefully) alter my position.

Do you mean without exhausting your deck and it coming up a second time as it could with anyone? <-- This Apologies for the confusion regarding this. Likewise if there are any other achievements that are confusing people on the day then please come and find Mike or myself and we will gladly clarify for you what we had intended.
