  1. The last 2 years a group (I believe it was the Warhamsters) designed and sold custom fate decks around this time of year. I was wondering if whomever they are was doing this again? And, if they are where do I buy in? Thanks in advance.
  2. With the coming wave a foresee quite a few pigs that will need to be painted. I've never been extremely satisfied with how my pigs look and am looking for some advice about how best to paint them and what colors look the best. Thanks in advance.
  3. I'm looking to buy just the unpainted, unassembled PLASTIC Ice Golem model. I don't want the rest of the Rasputina box. I'm willing to negotiate. Thanks!
  4. They look great, I'd be in to buy one.
  5. Where did you get the zombies from?
  6. Can we upscale the Rail Workers whole bodies, and change their poses to something more dynamic? They look so... weak when they are standing next to the Union Workers. It's really sad!
  7. It's not my best paint job, but I like the look of the bases. I'd love comments on the paint job, the bases or anything else. Thanks in advance!
  8. It's actually just a model train track that I cut up.
  9. Has anyone tried using a Metal Gamin instead of taking a Performer and Mannequin in a Colette crew? I kind of feel that this will add more protection when attached Colette and it's cheaper than a Performer and Mannequin. (If you couldn't tell, I put very little stock into Performers.) Thoughts?
  10. I have started basing my Mei Feng crew and I wanted a get a second opinion on the look of the bases. Here is my first attempt. I'll post more pics as I base more.
  11. Cool, you guys have been very helpful. But, this now brings up a new question. Can my opponent continue to attack my decoy once it's been revealed and still do damage to Colette? If so, isn't that really dangerous for Colette?
  12. I just picked up Avatar Colette, and I noticed a few things on her hard. I surfed the forums trying to find answers, but was unable to locate the answers to my questions. The first question comes from the ability Shell Games. Shell Games says that Colette and her Decoys have a combined 6 AP in an activation. However, the card says that she is fast. Does this mean that she can get 7 actions combined between the three models or does it mean that when the 2 decoys have been picked off, and you only have the true Colette left, she is fast? Also, after the decoys are revealed, I'm assuming that they can't be "hidden" again, correct? I.e. at the beginning of each turn Shell Games is reapplied to all of the decoys and Colette, and the 3 get mixed up again on the table. (I hope I'm explaining this correctly.) And, finally, Shell Games states that when a decoy takes damage, half of that damage is applied to Colette herself. Is this only when the decoys is revealed, or the entire time that the decoy is on the table, my opponent can attack the decoy and Colette will suffer? Thanks in advance.
  13. Does anyone know what size base comes with Snow Storm? Thanks in advance.
  14. @LordZombie The whole line is 35mm models. (Wyrd is 32mm) I've compared them to my Wyrd Miniatures and they are really very close. They look like people who are are a little tall. When I get home, I'll take a side by side and post it here. Kingdom Death also has a few models that are 54mm. Don't by those if you want to use them with Wyrd. They are too big. If you look in the shop, anything that says 54mm before the name is not one of there standard models.
  15. I ended up contacting Kingdom Death, and they were so awesome. Adam Poots responded the same day, asking me for my address so that they could send me the piece I was missing. For anyone that hasn't seen their mini's, they are beautiful! Well sculpted and well crafted. I've never been disappointed with a purchase from them. They are on par with Wyrd.
  16. I recently purchased the Mother miniature from Kingdom Death to use as a proxy for Zoraida. After opening the box and priming the model, I lost the hands before I could even begin painting them. (I didn't put them together before priming because I felt they would get in the way of painting her chest.) Now, I'm in a pickle and was hoping that someone might be able to point me to another 30mm model that has praying hands. I'm really good a modifying models but no good at sculpting. Any help that anyone could provide would be great. Thanks in advance.
  17. I like the idea that someone brought of a gambler style character. I think it fits very well with the idea of the Wild West.
  18. I recently purchased the Nightmare Edition of Lady Justice. Since they have arrived in the mail, I have been trying to figure out how to paint them. Seeing as that they are the "Nightmare Edition" of Lady J. one of my friends suggested that I should look into painting them to look like they are from an old black & white horror movie. I've tried a few different things that I could come up with, on a few spare models, but was very unsatisfied with the out comes. I now come to you all looking for a little help. Here are a few pics to help you all understand where I'm coming from with this idea. I'm looking for tutorials, advice or pictures of models painted in this fashion. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
  19. I've played a few games without performers, but never without showgirls. The outcome has been... okay. My list 40ss list consists of: 1x Colette 1x Cassandra 2x Coryphee 1x Soulstone Miner 1x Gunsmith 1x Mechanical Dove The Gunsmith adds some much needed ranged attacks plus terrifying. The Miner (which I found a really sweet proxy model for) can help to produce more soulstones. It can move 8 inches untouched every round, and it can gain Melee Master +1.
  20. Dang, you guys have a lot of good arguments and some food for thought. Thank you all.
  21. Another weird question, can a Mechanical dove cast "Now You See It," targeting itself as the Mechanical Dove within 3" to switch itself with a showgirl within 18" before being sacrificed?
  22. I'm a relatively new comer to Malifaux, I've only playing for about 2 months, but have been wargaming for years. I picked up the Showgirls box out of the gate. I love the models and don't really want to start over with a new army, I'd rather learn to use Colette's crew properly. The first game I played I won, but since then I have either lost or tied every game. The guy I play, plays mostly Guild armies(Lucius, Perdita & Lady Justice) all of which seem to be able to deal and take a lot of damage. (As a side note, we are looking for other Malifaux players near Naperville, Il if anyone is interested. The Chicago Malifaux Google Group is a little far away for us to play on any type of a regular basis.) Everywhere I look, every Colette player talks about how amazing she is, which has caused me to begin pouring over the forums trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. My 40ss list consists of: Colette Cassandra 2x Coryphee 1x Mechanical Dove 1x Gunsmith 1x Soulstone Miner (If I play less than 40ss I usually leave out the Miner.) (For both the Miner & the Gunsmith I found some really sweet models, and I am 100% for playing Performers if someone can help me to figure out how to use them.) I almost always take the scheme Sabotage. For the first few games I played, I incorporated 2x Performers but they didn't seem to do much other than get killed in the 2nd or 3rd turn. Here are my questions: 1. What am I missing regarding the Performers? What are they really good for? They can't really fight. And, their willpower duels aren't all that effective from my experience especially against The Ortega Crew. 2. Please correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like the Showgirls are entirely a Strategy and goal oriented team and then run. Their only offensive players are the Coryphee & Cassandra. 3. What is the best way to use the Mechanical Doves? Which of Colette's Spells should they be casting? Or should they act more as a soulstone for the Performers? 4. This is something that I have been kind of confused with, and I've tried both ways. Do the Showgirls work better as one massed unit, or as smaller groups ie. 1 peformer, 1 mannequin & 1 coryphee as a unit to accomplish tasks? Also, are the Coryphee better single or a Duet or does this change with every scenerio? 5. Should I be rushing out on first turn to accomplish tasks or turtle up and wait out a few turns in relative comfort before trying to accomplish my strategy/schemes? 6. The last game I played was against Lady J, and the Death Marshal's kicked my Coryphee's butt with the Pine Box spell. How do I fight back against this? (Yes, I'm sure it's better not to get in the box to begin with, but I was begin attacked on all sides and had wasted most of my hand earlier on trying to save Cassandra and Colette.) Any help or advice anyone can provide me with would be great. Thanks in advance.
