  2. Thanks for the positive comments everyone.
  3. If you ask anyone who has ever met me, they'll agree that I'm a notoriously slow painter. I also suck as painting human skin tone. As a result, I got one of the guys at my LGS (Tattyted) to paint up part of the Kaeris box for me. I was so pleased at the result I just had to post it here. Kaeris is painted up to match her entry profile but Dave had freedom to paint up the Gunsmiths as he wished.
  4. To kick off our 2nd league that is running during the Dead Heat summer event, we're having a campaign day. Campaign Day Date: 21st July Time: 9am to 5pm Open format gaming, just turn up and play some Malifaux. Report the games played so that they can contribute to Dead Heat. Location: Worlds at WarUnit 17a, Upper Terrace The Mall Craigshill Livingston West Lothian EH54 5ED Entry: £2.50 for each player for use of the tables on the day. The league is free to enter. Dead Heat League Dates: The league will run from 21/7 until 19/8. Format: Accumulation scoring Entry: Free to enter. I'll be on hand to do demos and intro games for anyone who's new to game system.
  5. This whole conversation wouldn't be related in any way to the upcoming Bayou Brawl and your intended shenanigans with Hoffman/Ramos would it? I'm watching you...
  6. I would have thought that if you have reactivate on the Master, then when you Manifest, then you lose reactivate. I remember hearing something about Manifesting to lose Insignificant and I thought this would have been in the same way. However, don't take it as law.
  7. The page in question is Pg73 or the RM - Varying Encounter Length. I spoke about this at length to Irving after the event. At the end of Turn 5, the game would have been a draw or potentially a win to Irving depending on Hold Out. I don't see the dogs in the pictures so I shall presume they are in the deployment zone. Irving achieved Assassinate by killing Sonnia and having 2 LitS markers activated for a total or 4 VP. You killed Tuco and had 3 LitS markers deactivated. A total of 4VP to yourself. In turn 6, you deactivate the 4th marker, shifting the score to 5-2. Irving was under the impression that a game lasts till turn 5 and then you flip for it, not turn 6. An easy mistake to make and I've known for long enough that getting him to read the RM can be like getting blood from a stone. I've made adjustments to the Rules Packs for future events to cover such occurrences.
  8. Hi, I know a growing community of Malifaux players in the Dundee area. I'll PM you to get some contact details and put you in touch.
  9. After much negotiations and discussions, the event has been changed around slightly. I've updated the entry pack. If you are travelling up, PM me and I can help sort through all the different options available. V1.5 Pack: Here

  14. Team Scotland no longer counts as part of the UK, due to the referendum... Also, Team Plymouth is meant to be coming north for October to get a lesson in humility...
  15. So, the new player day was quite a success. In total, we have 5 new players attend and get some games together. Tom gets a lesson in why McMourning loves his job Cat fight with Kirai vs Pandora. Cue lots of head scratching with rules interactions. Today was also the start of the LGS League. A few players couldn't make it on the day due to other things but I'm sure they'll catch up during the week. 17. Yeah. Terror Tots zipping around the board is great. Not for the opponent though!
  18. In addition to the new player day, a new league will be starting at the LGS on 9th June and running until the next Malifaux Tournament on 7th July for all the new players who've recently picked up the game. Details No entry fee for the league. Domination scoring format. Round 1: 9/6 to 15/6 Round 2: 16/6 to 22/6 Round 3: 23/6 to 29/6 Round 4: 30/6 to 6/7 No SS game size limit (30SS seems to be the most common though) Players can play as many games as they want during each round. Each scrap is reported to the organier (me) and I'll post results at the end of each round. Like the first league at the LGS, this is designed as a lighthearted way to encourage play.

If you fancy getting the Malifaux fix earlier in the day, Livingston Battlegrounds is open from 9am to 1pm and is only 5 minutes away from Worlds at War. For more details check out http://www.battleground.org.uk/ or PM me.
  21. Jon's crew had a proxy that I was ok with. His Supply Wagon wasn't really an entry as he didn't read the event pack until the night before and missed out on a chance at the award.
  22. Last weekend we had a tournament at my LGS, Worlds at War. As part of that event we had a special painting competition, in addition to our standard Best Painted Crew and Model. We had a Best Supply Wagon award as Shared Supply Wagon was one of the events. There were 10 players in the tournament in total. Gallery of the entries To give you an idea of the theme of each 1, I took crew shots during the lunch break.
  23. Alan Kennedy (Wooden Spoon) Dave Reekie ( Best Painted Crew Malcolm (Best Painted Model Jonny West ( 3rd Place & Best Supply Wagon) Jon (2nd Place) Greg Findlay (1st Place)
