  2. With 55 points you can take quite a few models that work well with multiple masters. Something like: 2x Stitched Togethers (10) 3x Alps (9) 2x Insidious Madnesses (4) Lelu & Lilitu (14) Coppelius (9) Then take totems and Master Specific stuff: 2x Daydreams (4) Poltergeist (2) Sorrow (3) That'll let you have a competitive crew loadout for Pandora, The Dreamer and a decent (not perfectly optimal) crew for Zoraida (Zoraida summons the Voodoo Doll, so I'm assuming that doesn't count towards your 55 points). Also, on the point of summoning, LCB/The Dreamer can summon another Daydream if needed and Coppelius and the Alps can summon more Alps too. Now, I will admit you are missing the big heavy hitters like the Mature Nephilim, Teddy and the Bad Juju, and you are missing the speed that Lilith brings to the table. You do however have some pretty heavy damage potential from the Stitched, Lelu and Coppelius, and you get all the fun control elements from the Alps, Lilitu and the Madnesses, while having 3 different Masters to choose from.
  3. Hi all, I've started painting up Lilith's Brood recently, and wanted to post what I've done so far for comments and criticism. I had 2 other test models before I settled on this final color scheme, I'm happy with it, but always look for other feedback. So far, I have: My test model: And, since he was so lonely, I finished up his brothers and the Cherub! All together now! You'll notice that there is a close-up missing, I didn't realize in person, but in the close up photo there are a ton of little white specks all over his arms. I'm going to have to go check him out again in person and fix him. Comments are always welcome. I think Lelu and Lilitu are next on the list to get painted, hopefully they'll be up sometime this week.
  4. I know he's not listed, but I have a McMourning box set I'd be willing to trade for Colette. Let me know if you are interested.
  5. I'm not sure if it's really an issue. Most games have a comfortable point range, and people seem happy to stay within those ranges even if more and more models keep coming out. As an avid Warmachine/Hordes player I can tell you that locally we generally play 35 point games (which is roughly the equivalent of 500 points in Mk I), and that hasn't changed in over 2 years. On top of this, people keep buying all the new models as they come out, they just use them as further options for their army each week. I don't think Malifaux will need to change it's format or the comfortable point ranges people frequent. Players will just adapt as new models comes out, and teams will have more variety to choose from at any given time. As for your comment on people sitting on 5-6 masters and just playing them, my experience differs from this greatly (in both Malifaux and other games). Most players that I know and have met suffer from "faction ADD", and will end up over their lifetime picking up multiple factions and masters to play. In Malifaux, this is even easier to do than other games due to the low model count required for an team to be built. Overall, I don't think we have to worry about Malifaux moving to a larger scale game, people will just play the point level the feel comfortable with, and have more options to do so.
  6. I'm very curious about the unexplained connection between C. Hoffman and Coppelius. Was that ever discussed anywhere?
  7. As a regular D6G listener, and as someone who spends at least 60 minutes a day in traffic, i say put the it all out at once and let the listener decide if they want to skip ahead. Someone else suggested posting an index with time stamps to help people find what they want. I love the podcast (and trust me, i listen to alot of them) so keep up the good work.
  8. Ah, ok, I couldn't find anywhere in the book that said that someone out of range for a Melee attack isn't a legal target. The only reference I could find to legal target was at the beginning of the book (page 14 I believe) that says you declare and then measure, and if you are in range it's a legal target. Do you know where it refers to melee range being required for it to be a legal target? I know I'll get asked at my local store.
  9. I'm a bit confused as to what makes the first bullet point right? What prohibits ranged attacks from targeting the Dreamer if they are within range to him, and not to the Nightmare using the ruling above? For example, if a model is 11.5" away from the Dreamer with a Teddy 3" behind him (Teddy is 14.5" away from the shooting model). If the Shooting Model has a range of 12" and targets the Dreamer, can he succeed in shooting him? The Teddy is not a "legal target" because he is out of range, so Shadowy Form would not take affect? Is this correct?

  11. Just wondering if there was any update on the new errata? I remember reading somewhere that it was expected before November.. just wondering if it's going to be much longer?
  12. Ratty, I would make one comment about the Scheme cards. The generic scheme header is too white and just looks like a mistake when printed or viewed on the screen (like the color forgot to be added). I'd suggest adding a different color to that header if possible. Other than that these are amazing, great work guys!
  13. In the diagram above the Bad Juju should be around 3.5" from either model if you move at the point directly between the two of them.
  14. Or just accept my offer and I'll paint and play him at the store this weened
  15. I'm going to add some comments about the brushes you use. When I started painting I made the mistake of trying to find a really small brush to paint the details. It "kind of" worked, but never came out looking right. One day after watching some videos and talking to other painters in my area, I realized that it's not about finding a super small brush, it's about finding a great brush that holds it's point well. I've come to love my Windsor & Newton Series 7 brushes and can't see myself painting without them. They are a bit on the pricey side, and you have to make sure you clean them properly, but with proper care a single brush can last you quite a while.
