  1. Don't even need them all, I think. They're tormented and so are the undead bandits, so it's Jack Daw time.
  2. Here's a blog post taking a look at the new models coming for the Arcanists.
  3. Here's a blog post on the Outcast models and upgrades coming in Ripples of Fate.
  4. Meaning that Archie takes damage when he attaches new upgrades, so limiting his healing would be a natural limit to that, I'm thinking. Plus he's so tough to kill anyway that stopping him from healing back to full would probably be a good idea.
  5. Goryo isn't rare anything. Corpse candles are Rare 2 peons.
  6. Just as a shameless plug, the order they're being done comes from the poll I put in this post. The poll's still open, so you can still slant it however you like.
  7. Here's a blog post about the stuff coming for the dead guys in Ripples of Fate.
  8. Here's a blog post discussing the Ripples of Fate Gremlins.
  9. Here's a link to my blog article breaking down the new models coming in Ripples.
  10. Here's a post regarding my activities at Gencon, and a poll on which of the new factions' models we want to see discussed/spoiled first. Thanks for checking it out.
  11. Ryle's pretty solid as a leader for campaigns, yes. His severe damage melee will basically delete anything you're likely to run into in this format in one swing, and he's pretty durable. I actually like him a little better in non-hoff crews, as you don't have to compete for tomes to get his defensive trigger that way. But, his real strength is just that he does what he does without much help from other people, which makes him ideal for campaigns were you want most of your models to be able to function independently.
  12. To paraphrase Daleks...."Elaborate! ELABORATE!"
  13. In the post you're quoting, what do you have Hoff doing after turn 1? Since your big beater is upfield, I assume he needs some quick construct to haul him up field and get him back in range for machine puppet.
  14. What: Demos of Malifaux or Through the Breach Where: Fun-N-Games Hobby Shoppe, 801 University City Blvd #14, Blacksburg, VA 24060 When: Saturday, January 30th 1:00 to 6:00 PM Why (you should attend): I'll be bringing Malifaux as well as a demonstration scenario of Through the Breach for those who are interested in learning, as well as all of the rulebooks and materials for both. If you're interested in learning either game, feel free to attend. Contact me for more information. Also, a doorprize drawing will be done, with each person playing a demo getting an entry!
  15. Curious if you would be interested in answering some questions about your event, Troubleshooters. I'm trying to collect information on large tournaments for my blog, to promote as the year goes along and for a wrap up at the end.

  16. Just to give you an option, I know you said you're interested in dipping a toe outside the faction but aren't crazy about opening up yet more crew boxes you have to buy to be effective (at least that's an interpretation I have,) you might think about trying the Zoraida box set. It's a reasonably effective crew out of the box, and can be used with your gremlins or as Neverborn. Might be a good way to experiment without committing whole hog to another faction.
  17. Right, and I expected there would be serious holes this time. Next year, when I can collect data consistently and determine things as it goes along should help. I guess my question re: the guild would be why the UK folks aren't choosing Guild at the top. That's what I'm going to start emailing folks to find out.
  18. The results, tabulated by hand and probably incorrect, can be found here. 2015 Musie Awards
  19. Thanks for all the replies. Can anybody let me know who got the masters? Then I'll call it good.
  20. I'm doing some research for an end of the year wrap-up blog post, and am hoping people can help me out. I'm creating a sort of award show (the Musies) for 2015 awards for factions/masters that did well during the year. I'm thinking of going through who had the best results in tournaments to do this for some of them, but could also do a "most improved faction" in 2015 or something equally off the wall if people are interested. So, to start with, was wondering if people could help me find info on who won the biggest tournaments of the year, namely: Adepticon-Outcasts-Levi and Daw Gencon Avatar of Malifaux-Guild-Sonnia NOVA Open-Guild-Sonnia UK Nationals-Joe Wood-Ressurectionists-Kirai UK Masters-Ant Holt-Ressurectionists Nythera Event-Guild BKFaux-Ressurs Life Free or Die Cheating - Ressurectionists - Weakland Captain Con - Ressurectionists Mali-Fest- Ten Thunders - Adam Talbot Templecon- Guild-Perdita Connecticon - Outcasts - Levi Isle of Faux - Jake Barlow - 10 Thunders - Cow Wars - Mark Ruckuss - Neverborn - Dreamer Haul of Eggs - Mark Ruckuss - Neverborn - Dreamer Scottish GT - Maria Wieland - Outcasts Deliverance - Martin Wodehouse - Arcanists - Collette Play More Games Malifaux - Mark Henderson - Gremlins And, also, what the other MAJOR tournaments of the year in the UK/Europe and US metas might be to include them in the process. Thanks in advance.
  21. We actually just had somebody drop. We're only in week 1, if you want to join in.
  22. I should give credit to one of the inspirations for this, the comic book series "The Sixth Gun" from Ony publishing. A lot of the general "theme" or possibly "feel" and the general idea of the weapons started from there.
  23. Granted, so long as you keep me up to date on how it goes .
