  1. Sorry, I wasn't 100% accurate. Only living models are affected by Terrifying (see rulebook). So the constructs will not be affected by Terrifying abilities from Coppelius, Kade, or Pandora's spell that makes them treat enemy models as terrifying. The only other Morale Duel I think that crew has is the one Coppelius has when he gains an eye counter, and that specifically only affects living models as well. That's not to say there aren't plenty of regular Wp duels that'll affect your constructs, but I don't see any morale duels in this Pandora crew that would affect your constructs, even with The Box Opens.
  2. One thing to remember is that Constructs don't take Morale Duels, only Living models take Morale Duels, so Gamin and Golem are safe from them even against Pandora. I think that's a good call. Essence of Power would be good too if you could fit it in. Use the Silent Ones' "North Wind" to increase the range of all your spells, Ice Mirror, gamin/golem ranged attacks, etc. Hit 'em from a distance and often. Let him come to you. I agree priority should be the Stitched, followed by hitting anything nearby Pandora that will let you drop a blast on her. Drop all your soulstones into these hits to maximize your blast damage. You'll want lots of soulstones in this fight (7-8 IMO).
  3. Sounds to me like Lilith is your best bet. The latest supplement (Rising Powers) includes a handful new Nephilim models to add to her themed arsenal, and they're all good in their own way. Lelu & Lilitu have already been released, while the Black Blood Shaman and Nekima are still awaiting release (AFAIK they aren't on the relase schedule yet, so it'll be at least March until you see 'em, though that doesn't stop you from modelling a suitable proxy in the meantime).
  4. Per the errata, it has the rule Desolate: this model cannot be summoned.
  5. Nice work! Good skin tones on Lilith especially.
  6. Haven't played any brawls myself, but I think depending on strategy/opponent, Pandora with either Dreamer or Lilith would be a nasty pair.
  7. Its right in the last line of the Flesh Constructs "Dumb" rule, if the card you discard is a joker (not just black joker, but why you would discard the red I don't know) the Flesh Construct gains Fast.
  8. Malifaux pg 73: "A trigger is a talent that requires certain conditions to occur, including an activating event and one or more suits in the model's Duel total, before its game effect begins." So a trigger creates a game effect, and while "effect" isn't mentioned elsewhere under Abilities and Triggers this line implies that all of the above also create a game effect (otherwise there wouldn't be a need to explain that the way a trigger game effect comes into play is different from that of any other talent). RAW, it's a little foggy, but IMO the RAI is clear. No mimicking any talent or spell which mentions any model by name.
  9. Sorry, just realized we weren't talking about spells.
  10. My $0.02: Malifaux pg 63 "Spell Description: Lists the spell's effects." (emphasis mine) From Doppleganger errata "Effects that reference a model by name cannot be mimicked" So a spell by definition causes an "effect", and "effects" that reference "a model" by name cannot be mimicked. IMO, this reads the same as "Effects that reference any model", otherwise it would have to say something like "Effects that reference the model" or "... the model itself".
  11. Some sort of replacement deal should be available soon, but no official announcement have been made.
  12. What Deuce said, with page references to boot!
  13. The book says: "Leader: Target friendly Freikorps model within 6" of Von Schill activates after this model's activation ends" Does the card say differently? According to this, the target model activates after Von Schill, and unless it has Reactivate a model only gets one activation per turn. The benefit to this as opposed to Companion is that Companion must be declared at the start of a model's activation, whereas Von Schill's Leader ability can be used at any point during his activation. So you could save this ability until the end of his activation to decide if you want to have another model activate right away or if the situation isn't dire he can instead use one of his other 0's.
  14. I agree, you made a huge improvement on the golem. I find it tough to re-paint models I've already painted, but I think when trying to improve on techniques there's probably more to be learned in painting a model twice (or two similar models one after the other). Well done!
  15. Love it!! The orange skin looks great, and the highlighting on the horns/claws is very nice.
  16. My current method for white (using grey shading) is to start by painting the entire area GW Codex Grey, followed by a coat of Fortress Grey on all but the deepest recesses. This is the stage I'm at in the previous photo of Pandora, Candy, etc. After this I start adding a little white to the Fortress Grey and put on another coat. This step gets repeated 3-4 times, adding more white each time and covering less each time, until I do a final thin highlight of pure white. I should add that my paints are thinned to about 2 parts water to 1 part paint. Here's a shot of my Rasputina crew, mostly done excepting bases. Rasputina and the hoarcats were painted as layed out above. The December's Acolyte was a test using a similar method with a light green base for the white, I was quite happy with how he turned out.
  17. KirigakurenoHaku: Well I'll be! In that case maybe I'll do the boots and belts white and the socks purple, basically mimicking the way Candy's shoes and socks are done. Can you tell I don't do much planning beyond basic colour schemes? I basically throw the main colours on the big areas of all the models then start tackling details. Nemissary: Thanks for posting, I decided to go with white for a few reasons. I wanted the crew to be more focused on the green and purple scheme. In my eyes, white adds more variety of colour without taking away from the two-colour scheme. Another reason was to challenge myself a bit. Like you said, white can be tricky to work with, but I'm better than I used to be because I keep trying it out once in a while.
  18. Sorry, it's only +4Wp in Morale Duels... so it would apply if Pandora is taking a Terrifying test for example, or an opponent casts some spell at a friendly model which causes another type of Morale Duel. Nice try, but that'd be gross!
  19. Made a little more progress tonight. Finished off the skin tones and started on the base for the whites. There are more photos on my blog. Please check it out! Anyone have any recommendations for Pandora's boots? Not sure if I'll go black (should be safe), tan/leather, or white (possibly too much white for her?).
  20. Well, they are desperate. And not just "my kids can't eat so I'm gonna rob the local bakery for bread" desperate, they are "I'm gonna join up with any master who'll have me and sacrifice myself in an attempt to further his goals" desperate. I'm pretty sure they don't care if they sacrifice themselves for Lilith any more than they would for Lady Justice.
  21. That's true, so you have to kill the dogs, or let them be killed. It's usually not too tricky, they go down pretty quick.
