  1. "Green stuff" is a modeling putty you can use to fill in gaps as well as sculpt stuff on your minis. It's official name is epoxy modeling putty and it's pretty simple and easy to use regardless of skill level. If you're new to minis, then yeah, Chompy Pants is probably not the best model to start with. However stick with it and you'll get it. You might also want to consider pinning parts of him to his body to aid in stability and avoid having arms/legs/tails fall off. If you can, I'd visit your local gaming store on a weekend and seek some help from some of the advanced hobbyists there.
  2. Love the bucket of bits as your body counters. Brilliant idea Chev.
  3. I'm not impressed with Rusty Alice in my Ramos crew at all. Yeah the extra cards are nice, but she doesn't seem to do enough damage in my games to justify her 10SS cost. You're way better off taking the new toolkit bot totem for Ramos and spending the other 7 SS on spiders or Johan. With the bot in your crew you don't really need extra cards b/c now you can cast all of your spells on a 7 or 8+ of any suit.
  4. Love how you inverted the colors of their clothes. Keeps them different yet keeps them tied together quite nicely.
  5. I have used Ramos' new toolkit totem in a couple of games and have to say, it makes Ramos really, really, REALLY sick and evil (in a great way for us)! Need a new spider? BAM! You got one on an 8+ of any suit AND you get surge. Need an electrical creation? BA-BAM! Here he is on a 7+ (of any suit) and you get surge off again! Most of the time you don't even need to cheat the casting flip. Mmmmm, delicious! So far I'm loving the toolkit totem WAY more than the Brass Arachnid. But unlike others, I could never get stoke to work for me when I needed it. Really can't wait to play a brawl using Ramos, Colette & toolkit totem. What's that, you within 8" of Colette, Za-Zap! You just got sacrificed fool AND I summoned a new marionette from your stinkin' body! WAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAAAA! aha, ha haaa.. err 'scuse me. Got a little carried away there. :1244:
  6. I was planning to magnetize 'em both by putting a small magnet on the bottom of one of their feet and the other under the base. But after reading Twizz's post, I might just give that a try as I did something very similar for my Trygon in 40k that has worked exceptionally well and stood the test of time. Once I get a chance to do some work on the girls, I'll post what I'm doing for you all.
  7. Oh man, why can't you live in Phoenix Az??? That's where I'll be moving to in the next month -- just in time to not have a chance to stomp some face. =( Good luck to all those who enter. Will you put a pic of the painted Chompy for us to drool over?
  8. It's really gonna go bonkers when all the Overseas people get their hands on Rising Powers ... Makes me want to auction off my autographed Chompy just to pay my credit card off.
  9. Is this the same crazy Saracen Zephir I met at GenCon who had the Hordes tat on his forehead???

  10. I should be there. However, it will depend on looming deadlines and things like that. Also, why not make the 3rd game 35SS?
  11. Ebay. Just do a search for watch parts. However, if you go to Ironhalo.net, you can get resin inserts that look really good. Check under the Deus Ex Machina.
  12. Ah! I will be sure to bring the Ramos-bot to counter you!
  13. I hate to say that something is "mandatory" but book 2 is really really good. Book 2 isn't like Planetstrike. I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed with your purchase. And if you are, you could probably find an eager buyer very quickly.
  14. I've got something in the works on this ...
  15. LOL. Agreed! Personally, I can't say that I'm having a hard time deciding on what to collect -- I want it all!!! Seriously though, I know how you feel as I feel the exact same way. Every faction is pure awesome sauce in terms of rules and minis.
  16. I'm looking for a talented sculptor for a top secret project. I can't pay you, however you will get full credit for your work which will be seen by many, many people. Great opportunity for someone looking to build up their portfolio and/or break into the industry as a full time sculptor. PM me if interested and I'll tell you more.

  18. Hey BK, it was great to meet you and get to talk a bunch about 'faux while in line to buy Chompy.

  19. FYI - expect a special offer from Wyrd in the near future to get your hands on some of the limited ed minis like Miss Pack.
  20. Nice job on the terrain. I really like how the building's roof comes off and you can play inside.
  21. Hopefully not in a long, long, long time as I don't Extinction Angel to use them on me!
  22. @dangerous Brains: Sweet! I'll have to pick up a blister until the Wyrd mini comes out. Thanks for the link. @dookieagain: It was great to meet you and fun to play against you. Next year, I won't make it so easy for you to beat me! lol @Thaehl: LOL. Well, can't be getting myself banned from the only gaming forum I'm active in now can I? Oh, BTW, I'm moving back to Phoenix at the end of September, so you'll probably see me towards the beginning of October. Game on! P.S. Nice Google-fu on Hoffman. @Nathan, Eric, NerdElemental & everyone who worked/works on Malifaux: I just want to say that you've created a terrific game and I love, love, love all the fluff and short stories found in book 2. Truly great stuff. Can't wait to finish reading it! @Mekboys: I believe that Nathan and crew are busy fulfilling on the MASSIVE amount of web orders that went down this past weekend. I would assume you could expect your stuff very soon.
  23. Hey Eric, it was great meeting you. And thanks for the autograph!

  24. It was great to meet and speak with you at GenCon this weekend. Also, thanks for running a great tournament. Had a blast.
