Sure :-) And the Gamin; there is no place for December's monsters in a list of the Savior of the World! :-) And one note: Ramos is free, the 2ss is his cache of Soulstones to begin the game with. My recommended list: Ramos Brass Arachnid (2) Swarm (9) Joss (9) Single Arachnid (3) you can do two more arachnid to form the second Swarm Convict Gunslinger (6) for a ranged option Johann (6 remember, he is M&SU member!) he is very good with Joss and more ranged option OR drop the Swarm (9) and single Arachnid (3), you can do it later with good hand (Salvage Under Fire+Construct Spider, and one more time in the same turn with Stroke from Brass Arachnid) and bring in Alyce (10) plus 2 SS for the game; she's brilliant!
  2. When I play with Perdita one of my worst nightmare is Rasputina's Ice Pillars. Hard to destroy, blocking LoS, too big to outmaneuver if there are more than one casting... This is a real denial tool against the Ortegas.
  3. But your totem is your friend! ;-) Cast with him and you can be affected by it.
  4. In the Ramos Starter Box there are many cards for the swarm and the single arachnids too. I brought the starter (with 2 swarms in) and 3 more swarms; two of them splitted and gave me 6 single arachnids (you need some 30mm bases).
  5. When you try to use some counters in 6" range every millimeter counts! :-)

  7. Welcome Aboard! :-) Ramos like to run with Joss and Johann. Joss is The Injun Killing Machine(™) a real melee monster with some surprise-reactivation. Johann is a fairly low-cost (khmm, in term of Ramos's crew) ranged option with a good melee ability. Brass Arachnid is your friend too (Stroke is just great if the cards are right); another Reactivation on a construct can ruin anybody's day :-) (But one modell may reactivated only once per turn! So no Infernal Duracell Injun Killing Machine ;-D). Arachnid Swarms are melee beast too and the individual arachnids are Ramos's suicide bomber teams with more or less guaranteed damage (SS prevention can save the enemy's Master but not the crew). You can use the Convict Gunslinger for more ranged power and/or to controll your enemy's hand. On greater points game Alyce is your friend; another ranged platform, more card-options, a hurtly reactivation (the 3rd in the crew), charge-hamperer Bag of Tricks and some wandering low-cost undead-machines.
  8. Sonnia is OK, but she is the "most complicated" Guild Master :-) Perdita kill you with two shots (one, if the Fate is Right) if you're in range. Period. Lady J kill you if you are in charge range. Period. With Sonnia you must play the game to be effective :-)

  10. 12? I count only 10... 2+2 (first act.) and 2+1 (second act.) then scatter and 1+1+1 (he's slow, but can use Latch on). It's still enough to smack down anything with a not-so-good Df :-)
  11. My Ramos friend like to run with Johann and Joss (and in higher Stones games with Alyce - BTW Alice, Alice, who the f*ck is Alice? :-D). The Injun Killing Machine's threat range in the second activation is 6" (1st activation charge) + 8" (2nd act. move-move) + 6" (2nd turn reactivation charge) + 2" (melee range) = 22" on a 36" board. If you want to calculate with the deployment zones its 12" more. I say, this is enough range :-)

  15. Don't worry, Darkover, Ramos is "da man"! :-) With Joss and one swarm plus totem and 1-2 single arachnid you can win anytime with good placing and a bit of skill of terrain-using! I use Big R in three roles: 1.) Spider-factory: (2)Scavenge under fire (0) Construct Spider and (1) Electrical Creation in one round with good Hand is just great! If you have enough spider swarm them together to fight tough guys; scatter them to go to positions (+2Df is great advantage!) 2.) Support master: Arcing Screen and Combat Mechanic to support the fighting Minions 3.) Spellslinger: 3xElectrical Fire can ruin the day of the most enemy :-) Or combine the three role to the win :-D Joss and the Swarms are melee monsters, maybe Johann or Alyce for ranged options.
