I see Melee Expert and Casting Expert as being very specific for a reason. They give the model in question that little bit of extra flexibility in only one area. If you open it up to more skills then you're probably straying into uses not intended.

Cut triangles out of plasticard dude. Way cheaper and much easier to work with. Then just 'embed' them in putty and when its all cured sculpt the fur overtop. I like Teddy. I like the pose because it looks like a teddy bear. I imagine him shuffling forward almost stiffy, then becoming animal-like when on the attack. Like a puppet.

Looks cool man. Is the face highlighted a different colour? It might just be the lighting, but his chest looks really tanned by comparison. I like the 'robin hood' green on his cloak. I may have to get this guy now!

Well considering that she made a number of them out of convicted Arcanists I'd imagine she likely doesn't. The cut-throat nature of pretty much all the factions would encourage a dog-eat-dog sort of playstyle.

...and with the questionable ethics of even the most noble of Malifaux residents... is it that far from the realm of reality?

Considering you can use Harmless Kade to bring Teddy into the combat (and even when he's not harmless you have his massive Defense of 7 to keep him alive) I think it would seem a no-brainer that these two compliment each other. Teddy does seem robust enough to keep himself alive though with Regenerate 2 and his Dead of Night ability working well to get him into Combat. For a big beastie he has a respectable Defense of 4 as well (better than my fatty executioner!). He is on the high-side of cost however at Nine souls. He seems like a model for 30 soul games, backed up by one (probably not both) of the kids, Pandora and some Woes to paralyze and control activation order so he can pick on the models he likes without being hit too early on. You could also always pair him with Candy to heal him up as he moves. I'll be ordering this guy for my Neverborn force when my Guild is done no doubt... so I'll look forward to hearing how he does for you.

Thanks fellas! I'm really enjoying just sitting and painting a single model at a time (which is one of the reasons I like skirmish games...it's a break from Squads!). The Proxy is a cool and characterful model and I'm excited to paint the 'men without faces' that are the Death Marshals.

Well I've gotten Sam and Papa painted for some options. I've got a pack of Death Marshalls and a Proxy left to do and then I can get started on Pandora and my Neverborn! Here they are... More on my blog!
