  1. At first I thought it was from the website too. THat blue-green colour is very nice. The blending is exceptionally well done even blown up to this size. Looks very professional with the background and multiple light sources. Seamus is just too smug for his own good. Neat base too.
  2. Carnage in the Woods would have been a more appropriate title for this BR. All those bullets couldn't have Ortega's from waves of undead. Nicodem must have been exhausted from performing so many resurrections and reconstitutions. Exciting nonstop action battle report. Keep 'em coming.
  3. The Gallows Bearer of Mid-Nor with the canopic dolls would make an interesting starting point. Unfortunately a bit hard to comeby these days. Alternately you could simply skewer Zoraida's little voodoo dolls like a sort of totem pole a bit like you see in PointLook in Fallout3. I was going to try this idea but lazily only pinned one to a base.
  4. I've decided to go with the cherub and fountain theme. Drilling the hole was a bit of an ordeal but he is now pinned, glued and green stuffed. Now I'm trying to decide what colour urine would the cherub have: Yellow Green Purple (could be a good faction colour tie-in)
  5. I just rec'd the Malifaux Cherub and was wondering how to mount him. He seems to have a family resemblance to Kade. It looks like the easiest way will be to bore a hole in his bottom for a long pin to connect to the base to give him a sort of floaty effect. The only other way I can see would be a fine pinning through the extended foot onto a base or stick it directly into a blob of greenstuff on the base.
  6. ditto Absolutely gorgeous. Very well executed. She has a threatening aspect for such a pretty model. The blending effects came out great for both the flesh and clothing. Can't wait to see the rest of your work. Now I am wanting to get a Perdita crew too.
  7. You been busy. Maybe my monitor is not ramped up enough but some figures don't have enough light to see the details properly except Seamus. That bright orange really stands out. Nice work on the bases especially the Executioner. I like your customer flesh construct.
  8. Owning but not necessarily playing: Malifaux Hell Dorado -where is that English rule book !!!!! Confrontation 3.5 -such a loss when CAoR didn't combine C3.5 with Rag'narok. AT-43 Anima Tactics Warmachine/Hordes WH40K BattleFleet Gothic B5Wars WingsOfWarI Crimson Skies -FASA SpaceHulk -1st Ed Legions of Steel Warzone - rules but no minis except the Razide Seige of the Citadel Tannhauser Kryomek
  9. Hi Rathnard. A late Welcome. Hoping to see some research on genetics, fate and Soul Stones from you or at least a battle report.
  10. Maybe its McMourning's face. He stikes me as being a crazed pyscho veterinarian while Seamus just a psychotic killer.
  11. Treemonkey, interesting and entertaining BR despite the low model count. I like the narrative style. Very enjoyable. Pity about poor ol'Teddy, lucky for McMourning. I had a feeling the Convict Gunslinger should have been wearing a redshirt in the best of StarTrek traditions. McMourning reminds me of the Batman Joker for some reason. Looking forward to your next BR.
  12. Great work all round. The Sorrows' bases look like part of a set. Kade's mask is a highlight and the blood spatter on his knife is exceptional.
  13. Gruesome mouth in a good Malifaux way. The eyes came out well, like a wild animal in a spotlight at night. Nice job and it will come in handy as a reference when my Teddy turns up.
  14. Wow, he is fabulously revolting as if someone crossed a spider, angler fish & bulldog/Chihuahua. Maybe add a green Resurrectionist tattoo or brand on his rump. As ork56 said nice work on the barrel too.
  15. And the bare chested one with tight pants reminds me of Iggy Pop.
  16. Neat work ork56. My favourite is the samurai punk zombie with the union jack t-shirt.
  17. Congratulations to the winners and other entrants. Thanks for the entertainment and inspiration.
  18. I'm enjoying the continuing Guild adventures in Wellifaux. Looking foreward to the next installment.
  19. Interesting scenario. I really like the look of that building in clear resin. Very spooky.
  20. I have the same problems too. I find that the quality of the light is more important when painting details.
  21. An entertaining, exciting and detailed NBR. Do you think were the most effective figures for either side?
  22. Hi HairyDave, Welcome. Good to see another Sydneysider. I'm assuming Australia not Canada not that it matters. 'I've picked up the odd mini or two in the past just because I liked them'..same here, I too felt the lure of Wyrd miniatures.
  23. Great job on the light coloured coat and the figure looks really good. At first I thought the cattails looked too big but they grow on you after a while. In fact I think you should add a third one with a slightly smaller pod (about 80%) and slightly shorter stalk with the top of the pod down lower than the other two.
  24. Hi y'all, Ken from Sydney, Australia. Rec'd the Rulebook & a deck on Monday. I've been collecting the figures for a while and have been looking forward to seeing the rules even though I'm mainly a painter. Have a bunch of figures but no crew yet although fair few Resurrectionists. Dabbled with Confrontation3.5, Hybrid & AT-43 along with some Warmachine/Hordes, WH40K, HellDorado, Tanhausser, Wings of War, Anima Tactics, Warzone & Okko. As you can see I'm easily distracted, especially by Fallout3 on PS3 or any new game. Some favourite movies - Bladerunner, Alien, Aliens, Firefly, Serenity, Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, Babylon5, Bubba-Ho-Tep, Appleseed, FF-Spirits Within, GITS, The Keep, Nomads, PotC .... Books - JG Ballard, HP Lovecraft, Richard Morgan ....
