  1. Thought I'd wander in... Critcisms on the fluff: None really. I figure that y'all are pacing this as you wish to. Would I like to see more fluff? Yes, be it Chronicles, Novelette or a full blown Novel, yes I would. An RPG would be real nice. However, I am fully aware y'all are stretched thin and any 'increases' to the writing staff must be set up so that all are following the broad strokes of the storyline. Questions: 1. Is the fluff driving the creation of the Avatars or the Avatars driving the fluff? 2. Most of the Avatars seem to be women. Planned, or just happen that way? Well, technically, Hamelin is a Avatar (seeing as how he is a walking Tyrant) but we're going to have Pandora and at least 2 (more than likely 3) female ones. Tina just scraped away from being one... 3. We steadily are heading to a crescendo within Malifaux, with Avatars and higher powered Minions and Henchmen. Do y'all have a plan in place for Malifaux post the big-showdown? I'm not looking for teasers here, just wondeing how far down the line y'all have envisioned this. -Brandu
  2. He said Retailed, as in past tense. The value of LCB is now the same as any other collectable. It's worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it. Someone may be able to scoop one up for 38 Pounds. Someone else may have to shell out 125 +. Right now there is one up on eBay US for $65 with a day left to go. I fully expect the price to skyrocket the week of and the month after Gencon. It's the nature of the beast. -Brandu
  3. trying again.. the Nerdcave. with only way to much work required. :dizzy:
  4. Finally got my mancave completed after waaaayy to long. The workspace is there. (to stay on topic) hmmm... not comming up on the page. going to try again -Brandu
  5. Malifaux models are sometimes too slender for metal... :sad2: Love the minis but hate the 'fiddly'.
  6. Have you looked at the Dirz/Scorpion minis from Rackham's Confrontation? The older metal ones may be a good fit with a hand/weapon swap. -Brandu
  7. Now that's a good idea. Thank you, got narrow viewed there for a bit. I will now climb down off my soapbox, someone could use the wood. -Brandu
  8. Malifaux is pretty much a 'null' game in my area. Closest other players are an hour plus ride away. I'm trying to build up a following here but is slow. WH and FoW are the games. Simply put, I'll make do with the pdf downloads (kuddos here to Wyrd for those). $8 postage for 25 cards is just too much (Bummers). :soapbox: -Brandu
  9. The trick is in having others here who play the game other than me and my lady who is due back from Afghanistan in 2 weeks. I get that you're a Henchman, but please don't try and make light of overcharging postage for statcards. I mailed an Ortega box set to a friend in Oregon last week for $5.30 priority mail.
  10. Thank you for the replies. Guess I'll be sticking with the printed downloads for now. Would like to have the new cards, but not going to pay $8 shipping for $12.50 worth of cards. -Brandu
  11. Doctor: David Tenant Companion: Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) Enemy: Weeping Angels Episode: The Doctor's Wife -Brandu edit: I'm with LonelyPath: I reeeaaalllly don't like Tate
  12. Does any know: are V2 statcards available thru my FLGS or only direct from Wyrd? -Brandu
  13. I like the jacket. Reminds me of the crushed velvet jackets popular around the turn of the century / late Victorian. To me the only weak spots are the weapons. they seem to get lost in the turn-backs. The colors seem too close. Brandu Correction, looking at it again, you might wish to change the turnbacks, in the second picture the right elbow area looks metallic.
  14. Not too sure i like this, but I guess is a good use for those pesky low cards in my hand. On survival of the fitest: I agree with Werecat:
  15. Thank you both, The animal bush park is my favorite... and absurdly inexpensive and easy to make. The center statue is the "tomb of the unknown snotling" (no, really, they don't know. not a clue actually) I love modular terrain because of the mix and match. Will eventually have 24 (ish) pieces (6' x 4') . All the boards are 1' x 1' squares. I kept the same color on all of the boards for the brick roads/sidewalks to maintain the continuity. I have plans for a 1' x 2' graveyard just for Seamus, and a steampunk board for the Arcanists. Mailing tubes are useful too... Brandu
  16. Hi all, Been working on some terrain for a while and thought I'd post what I have so far. It started out as modular Mordheim terrain but I found this neat new skirmish game called Malifaux... Most all of it was made with foam card and wood sticks. Brandu
  17. Great! I'm happy to see it, cause I honestly like this game and want to see it get the attention it deserves.
  18. I was wondering why I don't see more Malifaux on The Miniatures Page? They'll put up all kinds of stuff in Hobby News on the front page and it's free advertising... Brandu
  19. Hey! I represent that comment. Uhmm.. waitaminute.... nevermind. Brandu
  20. The rackham ice pillars looked nice... until I saw the price. $21.71 US. Barndu
  21. Just wondering, Do you have a friendly local gamestore? I've met more than a few nice folks at stores who have been more than willing to give pointers and advice. Plus then you can play Malifaux htere and show it off... Brandu
  22. Okay, this is officially weird (not Wyrd). I can log on.... ONLY if I go to: http://wyrd-games.net/profile.php?do=editpassword Then it will let me. any of the other pages are a no-go. Well, I've managed to log on twice in a row. I have to go through some hoops but i'm back on. Brandu
  23. Well, I've tried everything in order to straighten this out but nothing seems to work, including a full system scan. This is the only website I'm having these problems with so I don't know how to fix it... I have found that after I am online in the forum for a while I get dropped off suddenly. Thank you for trying to help me fix this... Brandu I'm going to log off now and try and log back on... If I cannot, well I'll be seeing you eventually.
  24. I'm using IE and can accept cookis. I haven"t changed any of my settings and Wyrd's forum is the onnly place i seem to be having issues with. I had to reset yet again in order to post this message also. I log on using my ID and password. I receive the Thank you for logging on page I'm listed at the bottom of the main page as being online At the top of the page I am told that I am a guest and if i try to go to any of the threads it will not allow me to post.
