  1. Well, a wall/building/anything that completely blocks LOS (i.e. taller than the Ht of both Lilith and her target) would prevent her from seeing her target and declaring a charge yes.
  2. Not meaning to high jack the thread; but doesn't the Kidnap scheme specificy that it must be a Master killed in melee (I wasn't under the impression that you could pick any ol' Minion - but it may be an oversight on my part so someone please correct me)? Back on topic. People will no doubt come on and say that you need a zillion Gremlins to make Som'er Teeth work, and maybe that is true at larger game sizes. I personally only play about 25-30SS games and have found that the box set's 4 Gremlins are more than enough as I usually only start with one anyway. You'll need a Hog Whisperer or two and a blister pack of Piglets tho, for a total of 4-5 Piglets, as these are the up-field attackers and it's worth killing Gremlins to bring more on the board. Also, if you intend to run 'Skeeters then I'd recommend the full 4 of them, as again they're fairly easy to summon by killing Gremlins. (It's this constant killing of Gremlins that keeps their numbers down in my experience and why I never have more than 4 or 5 on the board - but if you're going to theme the army to be Gremlin heavy and go for volleys of Boomstick fire then you'll obviously need more.) As for Brawls; I believe Zoraida was already nasty with Jones, but not after her Errata she'll be even nastier. The two together give you some powerful abilities to control how the enemy cheat fate. Jones can drain their hand with Gremlin's Luck and Zoraida can use Crystal Ball to re-order the top of their deck so that you know the card coming up is an un-cheatable weak card. Now, with the new Conduit rules on the Voodoo Doll (her summoned Totem) it means that the connected enemy model will already take 2Wd upon activating, and you can sent a 'Skeeter up to fart on them for another 2Wd - 4Wd without anything to stop it is pretty nasty on a Minion! They synergise well in lots of the ways too but another thing to consider is that because of Enthrall on Zoraida, she is the only other Master in the game that can use the Gremlin and Pig models in her normal Crew. So you can also get more mileage out of the models you already own.
  3. This reminds me very much of Universal Head's reference sheets on his Headless Hollow blog. It is very comprehensive, and obviously a lot of work has gone into it, due to the sheer amount of text.
  4. Also, in a slightly Zoraida related note, because of Errata to Hamelin's Growing Command it is now possible to get off four obeys a turn!! Between Bewitching, Crystal Balling and Obeying the hell out of stuff (not to mention Irresistible Dance), you can really toy with your opponent's Crew. I find the prospect delicious.
  5. I think I have wood for ol' saggy boobs.
  6. HOLY SH**!! :dead1: That is indeed nasty. So, they'd take 3 wounds in the turn if they reactivated!?
  7. Well, the Voodoo Doll gives them Poison 2 at every end close phase; so each turn the nominated model will start it's activation with Poison 2 on it. Poison does a point of damage at the start of your activation, then you remove the counter. So each turn they're taking at least one wound regardless; two if they reactivate!! Nasty.
  8. Unfortunately, it seems like "Teef" has had some more cuddles come his way; from what I can see... - Whoops is really very dangerous now, as it's not a listed damage flip and instead does the full damage flip of the weapon being fired!! Owch! EDIT: Actually, is this a cuddle!? Because it's an unmodified damage flip I take it to mean you can cheat fate. This means, if you want to shoot a Gremlin for severe damage so that you can put blast markers on things near to it, there's no way you can miss now and not flip for severe; providing the model you're shooting at is the closest friendly of course. heh. - Reckless now does a wound in order to gain Fast, which means if you summon a Gremlin it's slow unless you take a wound, unlike before where it would still get 2AP without a wound. For a 4 wound model that comes in with 2Wd from a Git Yer Bro, this is pretty significant. Other changes, I think had been made previously, altho Survival of the Fittest's wording has been cleaned up.
  9. I thought I'd start a new topic for this. Leveticus's Errata has kept it so that he can still use Deaths Lessons and Desolation to kill himself easily *wipes brow*; which is something I panicked about when I first read the rules clarification on models not being able to kill themselves with Wd. Heh. EDIT: Weird Sketch pointed out to me that yes indeed you can legally target your master with attacks now. So Alyce can *ahem*help*ahem* Leveticus if he needs it. Lol. Also, the Desolation Engine isn't summoned anymore, it replaces the SPA's that create it. This has a number of effects - firstly it limits its range slightly as you don't get the 6" summon. Secondly, it suffers loss of AP from whatever the SPA did before it as far as I can see - again, unless I'm mistaken. EDIT: Oh, also any wounds suffered by the SPA's will carry over to it.
  10. There have been two major changes to Zoraida in the Errata: 1.) Bewitch is now a (1) action - which correct me if I'm wrong now means you can cast it along with Crystal Ball for a double-combo of "You can't play control cards, now, let me see your fate deck!!". Owch!! 2.) The Voodoo Doll now Poisons the model it has a conduit to; Poison 2 every end close phase (and the change to the way Poison works makes this even nastier). This seems like a great replacement for the oddity of not being able to melee through the doll. Discuss!!
  11. Yeah, with Blessings of Desolation their Meat Hook strike is effectively Cb6:crows:crows and Dg 4/5/8!! That's not bad for a 7SS model. Also Hard to Wound 2 with 10 wounds, Ceaseless Advance makes up for it's slow speed by giving it a free Wk each turn or if it's in melee a free strike, and it's potentially Fast if you can burn a black/red joker on Dumb. As I said, it seemed decent to me, but I've never read about anyone using them with Leve. I'm intrigued; explain!!
  12. Over the past 6 months my focus in tabletop gaming really has shifted away from army-level wargames (think lots of models on each side and simplified system to run that many models in volume - Warhammer and Warmachine) and gravitated towards skirmish-level games such as Malifaux and Infinity. I've noticed a lot of people on this forum and on other forums have had the same shift in focus; I also notice that a lot of miniatures companies now are starting to get in on the act and produce skirmish games - I believe that Enigma and Freebooter have skirmish games in the works, and the MERCS game is due some playtesting. Do people think that there is a shift recently towards true skirmish games (I know Warmachine can for instance be played in a small "mangled metal" scale but it doesn't feel like a skirmish game)? Perhaps due to the world-wide recession? Increase in metal/transport prices? etc. Seems like an interesting point of discussion.
  13. BTW, I never hear of anyone running Flesh Constructs with Leveticus, but they would seem to benefit from Blessings of Desolation like other Resurrectionist stuff. They're quite tough and hard to kill and relatively inexpensive; downsides are they're slow and cost cards to control. So, anyone played Leve with one (or two)?
  14. Yup, this is pretty much the same list that I've been playing, altho I might take a Gremlin out for a Skeeter in the future to give them a try. In my experience, you only need one or two Gremlins, as you just burn an 11+ each turn to bring on another, and as mentioned either heal one of them or stab one of them for a fresh healthy Piglet. I too send the Pigs up front, Pigcharging over terrain with Never Happen and perhaps with a reactivated Warpig. The Pigs can't stampede against each other, so they're safe to go nuts while Jones creates more of them in the back and sends them forward. Because Jones is sat in my deployment zone, spawning a load of Gremlins and Piglets, I usually take Bodyguard and Hold Out as my schemes; if anything comes in my deployment zone then they get a face full of focused boomstick strikes... or Jones himself lets rip his boomer on them if it's against another master.
  15. Agreed. Altho, add to Malifaux that I also got into Infinity about the same time. I've just no time or funds to continue Warmachine now along with those two games. :surprised
  16. Well, I think Alyce is near-auto-include with him, because she just brings so much to his Crew (as well as being very fluffy if you care about stuff like that - I do!). As for other expensive models like Bete and Killjoy, they're completely optional and depend on if you think you need another heavy hitter. I think that Leve and Alyce can do such a good job putting out the hurt themselves, that you perhaps don't need anything else against weaker Crews, and can concentrate on have more piddly-things (like Necropunks) to run about and claim objectives - especially if you've got Reconnoiter for instance, you need the model count and SPA's are insignificant. Your choice of extra hitting power is either the Desolation Engine trick mentioned above (in which case you'll be bringing lots of SPA's with your Crew at the start) or one of the models mentioned above - like Killjoy/Bete/Horseman/Etc.
  17. Similar situation here, but I put it down to him having no starting box for new players to pick up easily; and the fact that Hollowed Waifs and SPA's are nowhere to be seen compounds it all.
  18. Your stuff looks great, such a shame you're having to sell. I sympathise completely tho; a couple of months ago I had to sell all my Legion of Everblight stuff that I'd slaved over collecting and building for ages. It was very painful (but it was either that or get boned by house bills).
  19. Bristol is doable I guess. Bit of a mission.
  20. Stunning work!! The Bases are great, I love the little touch of grass on the sorrows bases and the small toy boxes on Kade's are brilliant!! also, that blood splatter effect is excellently done.
  21. Thanks Karn, interesting to see a "pure" Leveticus list that performs well and a good explanation of how you use it. Much appreciated!! I will definitely give your list a go at some point (especially because it's the only way I can probably get my £10 Desolation engine on the board. lol).
  22. To clarify something else, it was ruled HERE that Leveticus's Blessings of Desolation version of Desolate Warping is incorrect. It can only trigger off enemy models unfortunately. So you can't have Sybelle sat in the back killing Waifs/Leve for SPA's, infact you can't kill any of your own stuff for SPA's, it has to be enemy models. This makes getting the damn things a lot harder. Also, I would have assumed that Bete could be quite survivable with Df7, is is it everyone's experience that this isn't the case? When I play Zoraida, my Df8 Voodoo Doll is almost un-hittable my most things, as long as I cheat his defence flips.
  23. True. I was playing devil's advocate.
