  1. Same painter, that helps create a visual tie between the companies. The Urban Mammoth stuff is not bad looking, but most of what I have heard about game play is a little lacking. The models have come a long ways sense their first incarnation and my old syntha stuff looks like crap compared to what they have now.
  2. This months releases run a little short, even more so when you consider last months releases. The only thing missing from this list is the Ariadna Scottish militia trooper, you can see the green for this one on the message board. There is also a picture from a French Con where they display pictures of the Seed Warriors + rules.
  3. Funny in a sad kind of way. Thankfully where I live gas is lowest in the nation and there in no shortage. We obviously need to open more refineries, but with everyone talking about going green there are very few companies willing to fork over the cash that is need to make a new one. Add the red tape required to blunder through to even be allowed to make one, and it means that this shortage of gas is not going to end any time soon, and will likely happen every year until people get pissed off enough to demand real change. <Political rant mode off> You should move your HQ to some place closer to Kansas, cheaper gas prices and no shortage.
  4. Really, Infinity is one of my favorite games. There are a few quarks about Infinity that has more to do with people using the download rules or not using the correct amount of terrain.
  5. A custom deck is something that worries me a little tbh. I do not mind making a few minor changes, be it adds ons or subtracting cards. It just reminds me of stuff that happened with clan wars, the decks became out of control and ended up being more important that the skill of the players was how to build the perfect deck/army combo. Maybe instead of adding too many cards each group/faction has special card combos that can be played, a type of dead mans hand that would be different depending on what you played.
  6. congrats to you and your new family.
  7. Congrats sir on your lil' bundle of Jabber.
  8. They are the swamp creatures that go with the Bayou theme. They are really nice models, and I am planning on trying to get one finished sometime of the holiday weekend.
  9. It looks like he has a bit of the Captain in him
  10. I am guessing the swamp creatures are included in the Gen Con release, I do not see them in the store.
  11. I have been working on a number of different things at once, I am painting my toads for alkemy, The rotten Belles and Bayou gobbos from Wyrd, and I started working on my Yu Jing stuff, all new stuff from Gen Con.
  12. lol, I was trying to figure out what N'atcheaux translated to, then it hit me what you wrote, funny guy.
  13. looks cool, do you have a link to the tutorial?
  14. Here is my Luchidor group, I borrowed some ideas from aztec culture. The group leader is a man that goes by the name of Quauhtli, he is a very large man of Hispanic decent. He dresses in the standard luchidor mask mixed with traditional period clothing that is common to Hispanic culture. Quauhtli is an archanist, but his powers are based around physical buffs and attack powers based around movement or motion. Some of these powers can be triggered for certian conditions. Quauhtli personality is somewhat 2D, he rarely speaks and his motivation is fairly apparent when he is encountered. An interesting possibility is that the mask is Quauhtli. When someone put the mask on, it take over the personality of the wearer and over time changes the physical aspect of the wearer. Quauhtlis magic is fueled by the blood and ritual sacrafice. Quauhtli henchman name is a slight man named Rolon. Rolon acts as the spokesman for Quauhtli, he is the one that does all the speaking, negotiation, or makes the bargins. Rolon is a very bombastic person, when he speaks he uses exagerated hand motions/gestures. He is an oily man that wears nice cloths but not to nice, middle class formal would be the best description. He wears a derby style hat and is always chomping on a cigar. When in combat situations Rolan will head for solid cover and shoot from that place, he is also not afraid to take advantage of someone that has their back turned to him. His main role in combat is to help subdue and assist Quauhtli when it is needed. Rolon loyalty is completly to Quauhtli. The minions of Quauhtlis group is strange creatures that he calls Salvaje. They tend to be smaller then the average person, but well built. The one thing that stands out about them is they have feral aspects related to some animals. Common animal types are large preditor cats, birds of prey, snakes, and wolves. Communication with the Salvaje is about the same as the animals they take on. They are strictly close combat fighter, and are great at subduing enemy fighters. They usually do not fight to kill, but to capture.
  15. I have not used the GW paint line in a long time, but the general rule that I use for standard northern european skin tone is. I base coat with a middle brown, then I build up the flesh color with glazes of a dark tan flesh tone, I think dwarf flesh would be the GW version of this color. After I have the color to the level I like, I add a glaze of red in key spots, nose, ears, hands, elbo, and so on. The next step is to highlight with light flesh tone, I think the closest GW is elf flesh or pale flesh. The last step is to accent the highlights with a mix of pale flesh and white.
  16. this one is a little too manis, it is like she is raising the skirt to say, "Hey I am post op.":ahhhhh:
  17. If there is a roleplay game made for Malifaux I may consider changing the bases of my Rackham stuff. Until then I am not going to pull my middies off of their bases. Another Rackham model that would work well are the Formors and Balkron from the Drune army.
  18. Cool beans, maybe a group of bandidos that are luchidors is a unique enough idea to raise an eyebrow.
  19. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
  20. Hiya, I thought I would introduce myself to the group and let you know a little about me. I have been gaming for a number of years. I started many years ago with GW products, while I was loyal at the time to them I was open to trying other games. These other games would be chainmail, clanwars, C3, Infinity, now Alkemy, and I am also interested in Wyrds stuff. I have a random collection of stuff for other games, but I never really played them. The main models that I could not resist that I was interested in by wyrd was the new bayou gobbos. I am also interested in signing up to be a beta tester and help promoting wyrd product.
