  1. Not sure where to find it in NYC, but Blue Point Brewery on Long Island makes some great beers (about 50 miles east of NYC). If you can find Blue Point products, try their Toasted Lager, Pale ale and Hoptical Illusion IPA (my favorite of their beers).
  2. Jim, Welcome to Wyrd! (now 4 MMSI members have posted in this discussion) Good to see the word getting out about the book and upcoming show. Both topics already have discussion over at the Clubhouse forum (I'm trying to convince more of the garage kit modelers to show up at the MMSI show). G
  3. How long did the GlossCote get to dry between layers and and how longer before the DullCote was then added? I bought GlossCote (with the intention of using it under decals), and I seem to remember it requiring a lot longer to dry than a light mist of DullCote does. If the DullCote was sprayed over uncured Gloss, the solvents in the GlossCote would migrate thru the DullCote.
  4. We played the introductory scenario (kill 15 zombies in 15 turns). We (the humans) did really well at drawing the gun cards, so we killed all the needed zombies in about 11 turns. I enjoyed it. Next time, we'll ad in the advanced rules and try one of the other scenarios.
  5. I gave the rules a read-thru in preparation for trying it out tomorrow. I think having the soundtrack CD playing is a must for the first game (we'll see if it gets used in future sessions). If it plays well, I will be buying the expansion.
  6. I'll be there. The games I have sceduled are Chill and Deadlands (no minis games, I just paint 'em)
  7. I'm waiting to see if one of the stateside dealers will pick these up. The 15-20 Euro shipping from Germany is higher than I'd like to pay (the figure is something like 38Euros)
  8. So you're sure you aren't looking for one of these?
  9. not to go too far off topic, but is this more what you had in mind SV?
  10. With those two links, somehow I think it is really a gift for you. :vb_devil:
  11. It usually works better to shoot a larger image, perform any required manipulation on the larger image, and then reduce the size down to what you want when you are done.
  12. Has something to do with helping her aim the RPG launcher. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it)
  13. I've seen them here in the US (although I may not have seen the term "Jaffa Cake" on the package), but they certainly aren't common. Now I have to go out and look for them again. I'll have to check tomorrow on my way to work (also need some of the Patak's curry sauces, and unfortunately I can't find them in my regular store).
  14. Bath-time Bubbles was available at the Croc booth last year at Gen Con. She's probably my favorite Croc Games sculpt (edging out the Daughter of the Phoenix).
  15. yep. All my NNN work (non-nekkid nekkid) was deleted by P-Bucket. I'll probably post my Pirate Queen picture (from this year's Femme Fatales club challenge) on P-Bucket just to see how long it lasts there.
  16. I share the same name with the Governor of South Dakota who was killed in a plane crash (mid-90s, IIRC), so I got sick of that.
  17. How useful P-Bucket is depends entirely on the type of minis you paint. All 4 images in my Wyrd gallery (the ones that aren't contest entries) were deleted by P-Bucket.
  18. that explains why I liked it so much
  19. as a frequent painter of NNN (non-nekkid nekkid) I am strongly in the pro-nipple camp. Keep on sculpting them nips! It's much easier for you to file them off than it is to add them.
  20. AFM is a great magazine, but don't forget Kitbuilders Magazine (I'm subscribed to both). Just need to get around to subscribing to Historical Miniature and Figure International as well.
  21. the centaur was sculpted by Rocco Tartamella. It doesn't currently show in his web store, but email him (contact info is on the website). I've bought from him before and can highly recommend his sculpts. http://www.roccotartamella.com/index.html The gallery image is of the paintjob Joe Dunaway did for Kitbuilders Magazine (#57)
  22. How about a weapons pack of Western-themed items (single action revolver, lever-action rifle, tomahawk, etc)?
