  1. MUAHAHAHAHAHA and a little Yog Sothothothtothothtohthery.
  2. It's a few years ago since I read the book, so my memory is a bit sketchy, but it's definitely a good read, and like most of Heinleins books, pretty short, so you can read it in a few sittings. I think there is mention somewhere in the book that there are more alien species than just the skinnies and bugs, but they never actually make an appearance. I like the direction they took the bugs in the movie. Kind of like tyranids, they have technology, but it's all biological. I think the movie has a lot more depth than people give it credit for. If you look at it as the propaganda of a fascist state, seen from the perspective of a "true believer" (Johnny Rico) I think you see much of the hidden depth that the movie contains that you might miss if you look at it as just another action movie with aliens.
  3. I'll second that! I look forward to seeing this one in real life
  4. Yeah, in true Rackham style, the legs look shit. Looks more like an anorectic boy than a woman. I don't like the way she's holding up her skirt either, it just looks silly. The big brute is cool though.
  5. I've read the first ten Wheel of time books, and will probably read the eleventh one when it comes out in paperback. I'm somewhat miffed at the glacial pace at which his series is progressing, but at the same time I think the characters are interesting, and I've invested so much time in them that I can't stop now. Besides, I like the way he's turned it from pretty traditional sword and sorcery in to a series about politics and court intrigue.
  6. That's exactly my opinion. The weapons look very strangely proportioned, and kind of rubbery.
  7. I love the apostates and the cynwall initiate. Hmm... maybe it's time I buy som more Rackham stuff!
  8. That dragon is possibly the best I've ever seen. Much better than GWs and Reaper's in my opinion.
  9. Sometimes I think people who are gay must have it so much easier. Then there's actually a chance that you'll understand your partner!
  10. That's a very nice gollu... uh whatever.
  11. That's a very cool site you've created and I really hope that people start to use it. Make sure to post about it at other places like coolminiornot, electric ocean and the jenova.dk forum. Right now I'm getting some kind of error when I try to use it
  12. There's toooooo much. I'd like the Wyrd Bishop and Victoria, a bunch of Spyglass girlies, that cool Ilyad barbarian lady, and maybe some Hasslefree and more Rackham stuff, and one each of the new stuff from Scibor that's being cast, oh and maybe some GW stuff even (quelle horreur!!). But doubt I'll get any of that. I guess I could buy it with my own meagre funds and could say I'm buying it for my son for his first birthday, but I doubt that argument would hold up to serious scrutiny.
  13. Yeah, I'm not particularly impressed with these either. What's up with everyone deciding to start their own miniature line all of a sudden?! (not that I'm complaining )
  14. Thanks for the link If you do send Ilyad stuff this way then please let me know, and me and Anders can split shipping.
  15. I love both. Must buy now... mmm... miniatures. What's the link?
  16. We just had our first snow fall this morning.
  17. Land of the dead sucks horribly. I love zombie movies, and even really enjoyed Resident Evil, but land of the dead is really really crap. C'mon, zombies that think and just want to start their own peaceful society!?!?! They're just basically like very retarded people who happen to enjoy the taste of human flesh. What the hell was George Romero thinking?! Kingdom of heaven is good, as is Butterfly effect and Batman begins.
  18. Hmm, that's difficult to answer. I like realistic but stylized, if that makes any sense? Kiril is a definite favourite of mine.
  19. I don't think that stuff is degrading to the people whose corpses are used, since they have donated their bodies freely to it. I think it's commendable that they decide to do something useful with their bodies after checking out, instead of just being put in a hole in the ground. As to the whole submering a crucifix in piss thing, in my opinion art requires talent and hard work. This has neither.
  20. Hmm... some Swedish ones: "If you get in to the game, you must accept the consequences of the game" "Life plays". Can't think of any more at the moment but in Sweden we have a word "lagom", which is very difficult to translate in to any other language as noone else has a single word for it, but roughly it means "not too much, and not too little".
  21. No, I don't think you can go too far. Art shouldn't be shackled. If someone doesn't like a figure they don't have to buy it
  22. I think they're all cool, and very characterful. I even like the sword on the thief. I'll probably buy the lot.
  23. Wow, it's fun when you join a new forum and you already know everyone there! I like gothic metal, mostly the softer variety: Within temptation, Nightwish, Lacuna coil, Evanescence etc. LaeliaJS: Ah, a kindred spirit
