Today was a good day. I killed off one opponent with Immortal and one opponent with both flail AND a bear. :approve:

I don't get the Marvel universe at all. These are good sculpts, but the characters don't have any appeal at all, in my eyes. Now, the Star Wars stuff might be more interesting...

The net is also great when someone has a bear.

Mithril have been doing LOTR minis for ages... Their license isn't tied to the films and New Line Cinema. I remember painting some Mithril minis when I was a kid.

Mine is more or less painted. Just need to do a base for it.

I bought mine at World Expo, so they might sell it at conventions.

Yuck! With the right paintjob this could look fantastic, but it needs just the right amount of gribbliness so it doesn't become just a mess that's hard to read.

Exactly! And it's depressing to see sculpts by people who I know can do better, and who often DOES better when sculpting for other companies.

The skellies look rather nice, but the humans have some weird musculature going on. Some soft detail on feet etc. also is a bit off-putting, especially as these are quite big.

Sounds like a much better strategy from the police. Hope they catch the scum, now that they can gather more tips from the public.

I sort of like it. I'm not usually big on orcs, but I like this one. It's got a rowdy look that is great for an orc, and the number of parts make the mini quite detailed without being bulky.

I can understand the reasoning the police are making, but it's a risky thing they're doing. It is almost like using human baits... They better be damn sure to catch him if he tries something again, because if he succeeds and they deliberately did not put up public warnings... well, people won't be happy. I really hope they do catch the guy.

Shit, that's scary! You read about these things in the paper all the time, but you never expect it to happen to you or someone you know. I'm glad she got away, and maybe it was for the best that you didn't find the guy. It really sucks that you and your family should have to be scared in your own neighbourhood. I hope the police find the guy before something else happens.

I don't think they had any "attitude"... It was just "to begin with, we will only sell them ourselves" or something like that, IIRC.

Jess, the CMON store has started carrying them. So, you can get them with much cheaper postage.

There are a couple of aussies who post here now and then, but you might get a quicker response if you head over to Oz Painters.

I think the biggest problem here is that the rider gives an impression of movement (forward leaning, robes flapping in the wind etc.), whereas the lion is looking very static and is, at most, walking slowly forward. Very nice painting, though.
