IP 2017 Rd 3 - Stranger Things

Demonn Agram

My take on the Stranger Things theme.
Models used: Wyrd - Nothing Beast and Infamy Miniatures - Sgt.Crookes.
Base is scratch built, mostly from plaster and some plasticard bits and pieces.

Hope you like it and as always, feel free to leave a comment (critique is welcome as well ;) )

@Demonn Agram I really like your weathering, you know?))
And great composition, and details))

thanks, I used a lot of techinques to get the weatehring done. acrylic paints, acrylic washes, oils and thinners, oil washes, streaking effects and in the end pigments... glad you like it :)

Just curious is the green (portal?) paint or is the scene backlit?

The portal is backlit. I used a green LED placed behind the portal that was made from transparent heavy gel. I really wanted the portal to pop out but be transparent as well and I couldn't get that effect with paints alone. However, when photographing I used plenty of light around the entry so the OSL effect of the portal would be minimal - as this was not the point why I used the LEDs...

Great scene! Who is the manufacturer for the policeman?

it's in the description. Infamy Miniatures is the company. Sgt Crookes (or something like that) is the name of the mini
