Duront Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 Hello all, I am struggling to figure out why the shenlong/sensei yu mechanic is any good. You have to load them up with so many upgrades, I feel it becomes to expensive for what it gets you. Has anyone used sensei yu to good effect? How do you upgrade him? AverageBoss Posted March 3, 2014 Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 I have only played two games with them thusfar, but what I did was give Shenlong, Low River and give Yu, Promising Deciple (4 SS altogehter). On the first turn after the init flip, I use Shenlongs bonus 0 to switch to High River and pass Low River to Yu. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With the Fermented upgrade and the fact that he can use Brewie's (0) actions makes him a very good model to bring when using Brewboy as Ten Thunders. DeleteAccount Posted March 11, 2014 Report Share Posted March 11, 2014 I'll also echo Sensei Yu with Yan Lo giving you more free access to that heal and also, if you manage to get chi on him with the soul porter, lets him ascend. Also, I know it's still in beta, but anybody with the new push upgrade can also get some good mileage out of Sensei Yu. My only worry with him is how hard he is to actually engage with because of lacking a cg value and how he loses a lot when your master dies.
