When a mounted mcabe dies when buried

Hi all, I suspect I know the answer to this but the situation very nearly came up in a Tara v Lucas game yesterday. Mounted mcabe was fast and buried. My 3 void wretches gave him a good kicking whilst in the void but he just survived - now the question is what would have happened to the summoned mcabe should mounted mcabe die when buried? Does he come in as buried or does he simply die outright?

I don't believe he even dies, he just doesn't even get summoned or placed into play because you cannot fulfill the requirements to do so.

I guess you would max out on 2 points for Assassinate then, as he would not truly be considered "dead" until game's end which would be round five at the earliest?

No he killed the leader. If it was before turn 4 I would let him have full vp. The original leader was dead and yhe replacement cant be placed.
