Henchmen lead crews and totems

Tiny

Question

My question is can a non master specific totem be hired into a henchman lead crew. My initial thought was no, but after reading the section on totems (page 54 bottom right), it is never explicitly stated that you cannot.

There's some fluff in the first paragraph to that effect, but then in the 2nd paragraph the only thing that relates to a non master specific totem is "A crew may only hire one model with the totem characteristic".

So am i right in saying henchmen can take the non master specific totems?

Can I get an updated opinion on the OP please? only one person chimed in and the thread is from quite a while ago.

A totem only takes the field when beckoned by it's Master? page 54

Does that fluffy sentence close the door on Henchmen hiring a generic Totem? Or does that sentence reference hiring a master specific Totem?

FAQ Entry:

28) Q: If a Henchman is leading a Crew,can a totem be hired?
A: Yes. There is some fluff description about masters beckoning totems, but the totem rules are in the second paragraph
of the entry. A Henchman leading a Crew may hire a totem. However, keep in mind that most totems can only be hired
by a specific Master, so Henchmen will need to look at the generic totems.
