If Kang is on his last wound and has1 poison token on him, when he activates (on turn 2+) does he die or heal first? Poison would remove his last wound but "can't keep him down" heals wounds equal to the turn number. Both happen when he activates.

I believe he heals first as this happens at the beginning of the activation phase, not the beginning of his activation.

Kang heals at the start of the turn, poison takes effect when he activates. So if kang is reduced to 1 wound and has poison BEFORE he's activated, then when he activates that turn he'll die. If he's reduced to 1 wound and given poison AFTER he activates, he'll heal up before the poison takes effect.

at the beginning of the 2nd turn kang will regenerate 2 wds, putting him at 3 wds, he takes 1 poison on his activation then discards counter, putting him at 2 wds.

So as my understanding goes

At the start of turn 2 Kang heals 2 wounds

If he takes damage before his activation and reduced to 1 wound and suffers from poison he dies after his activation as the poison takes effect?

Almost. You take Wds from Poison at the *start* of your activation, not the end.
