scottb
Can anyone explain the usefulness of the piglet spell "root around" to me? I think it might be useful for claiming things but wanted to check. Edited September 10, 2012 by scottb
Sarsnick
Can anyone explain the usefulness of the piglet spell "root around" to me? I think it MIT be useful for claiming things but wanted to check. Like you said, it's useful for making them count as significant characters at the end of an encounter. Not a skill you would use all the time. You make a lot of pigs if you are playing Somner right.

Somer would have to kill someone with a melee strike and triggering with a :crows aSomer on the other hand can just give birth to pigs while doing AOE Damage
Omenbringer
It is also a useful ability in combination with the Hog Whisperer and a Pigapult.
scottb
So, just to clarify - if a piglet is made significant by using "root around" it would count for schemes, strategies where only a significant model counts? I just want to make sure the spell doesn't end at the end of the encounter (since it does say that it ends at the start of the next turn). Omenbringer
It would allow you to score strategies and schemes that require significant models at the end of the encounter.
