Mechanical Doves Question

Not sure if this has been answered before, But if a Dove and a showgirl are both killed simultaneously by a pulse, can the dying showgirl use the dove as a SS to prevent damage.

Since both are killed at the same time, i would assume not, but i'm interested in knowing the correct interpretation.

If it was actually completely simultaneous, you would be able to, because you prevent before you die. So when they both got the option to prevent, the dove would be alive.

I don't think it's actually that simultaneous, and the effected models' controller would get to choose the order that they resolve damage.

Either way, I would say you could.

Yep.. the Damage is simultaneous so the Dove is not dead when Damage Prevention stage is reached

But, Ratty, wouldn't the controlling player have to run through the steps for each model in turn, and could therefore choose to run through the steps on the Performer first (before running through the same steps on the Dove)?

Obviously the same answer, but I'm interested in which reason would take precedence.
