0 Kadeton
Yes, sadly. Simple duels have no attacker or defender, so Immune to Influence doesn't come into effect. One thing I'd really like to see in a rules update would be a change to the duel syntax that allowed for an attacker and defender in any duel, indicated by the arrow. So a Terrifying duel could be a 13 -> Wp duel, clearly indicating that the testing model is the defender in this case. For now, c'est la vie. Immune to Influence does not affect Terrifying, or any other simple Willpower duel.

0 Wolfgar
It's not so much that a simple duel do not have an attacker or a defender, it's that Terrifying duels are not an attack as defined by the rules and therefore do not have a defender. Attacks are and Strikes Spells with or Spells with a Resist Actions that cause Damage Actions that cause Wounds Actions that result in an Opposed Duel Ain't one of those, then it ain't an attack. So throwing objects at my opponent is not classed as an attack? . . . Intersting =p
