Emotional Trauma and Hard to Kill

Just wondering what the sequence is for the wound(s) taken. Say if I use a damaging spell/attack (Self Loathing, Wail, Neverborn Wispers, etc.) and it takes the target down to 1 Wd due to Hard to Kill... would Emotional Trauma kill said target, or does it come into effect before the attack's damage?

I would say you are affected by the spell, and then the after-effects. Would you do a trigger before the attack was complete? (unless it states otherwise =p)

Ofcourse this mean, if you have multiple Emotional Traumas, you could take out the model even more easily. And as Emotional Trauma doesn't stack, they are resolved one after the other, then it doesn't matter about Armour, Spirit, or Hard To Kill. That is one of the things that used to make Alps so OP before they were changed.

Natchnebel has it right guys. This is an old old question. Emotional Trauma happens first because it's when you fail the Wp duel, so that would be before you finish resolving the action.

Think of it like this:

*Wp Duel to Resist

***Fail Wp Duel

******Emotional Trauama

******Any other effects that trigger on failing Wp Duel (ex: Emotional Stress)

***Resolve the rest of the action

So if it was Self-loathing, they'd take the 1 Wd from Emotional Trauma + Emotional Stress (which could break through the Hard to Kill barrier) then you would resolve the spell, so in this case... making the damage flip. Pandora is very good about dealing with those pesky Hard to Kill models, she's death by a thousand cuts. ;)
