bldyhll666
pretty new to zoraida, but had an dumb question. can dopple mimc zoraida's create voodoo doll to pop out a wicked doll? heres a list idea i had, ( 35ss, scrap )would it work? zoraida doppleganger weaver widow and whatever else every turn: have above 3 pop out wicked dolls. turn 1: z pops out doll, obeys him to walk 5" dopple mimics "create voodoo doll" pops out wicked doll an obeys it to walk 5" weaver widow activates and (1) craft doll after (1) thread from nighmares has anyone tried this yet? and if so, did it work? and have you lost friends because you tried this trick, lol. i figure if i do this for the 1st 2 turns, my opponent should be overwhelmed with the amount of stuff i have on the board and also figured if it threw in collodi to pop out marionettes ( rare 4 ) i could overwhelm my opponent thoughts? M_Ruckuss
As I have been told, no, as the spell mentions her by name. Will check wording when get home, as have no book to hand, but i'm like 99% sure you cant. Great if you could-i'd do it all the time, but don't think its possible... Fetid Strumpet
Correct. The version2 card of the doppleganger states that mimic cannot copy effects which reference a specific model by name. As Zoraida's ability to summon wicked Dolls references Wicked Dolls the Doppleganger cannot copy it.
magicpockets
^^ It references Voodoo Dolls, but same point
Shank Seamus!
Oh.. I thought the reference to name meant instead of saying 'this model' it said for example 'zoraida casts..' So doppleganger could mimic a spell that says this model summons a wicked doll, but not one that reads <name> summons a wicked doll.. Could anyone point me to where this clarified? magicpockets
I had this a looooong time ago when Rising Powers came out - you can't summon a Voodoo Doll or Wicked Doll because "Voodoo Doll" and "Wicked Doll" are names of models - it doesn't matter if Zoraida is named or not. Here's the first thread which discussed it where I argued wrongly it was possible - http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16773 There are more if you search "wicked doll mimic"
