themurphyfella
OK It's been bugging me to find a good way to tell who controls what puppet in a game. Ratty has an awesome solution with his bases but .. DAMN they is pricey. One of the other posters here mentioned rubber bands. Bloodbowl days came back to me and I found this http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.php?option=skillrings Nice Huh? But I'm a little worried the bands wont fit the smaller sloped shoulder 23mm puppet bases. So my daughter came to the rescue. Zubber. She asked for this stuff and I filed it away for the large fat man to surprise her with. While chatting to his ...elves I glanced at the box and got that "OH" moment Band maker................... hmmmmmmmmmm I might need to ask the fat man for my own box of Zubber
nilus
I actually just put magnets on my washers on my bases and magnets on some 30mm lipped bases. Then painted those different colors. Sure a 30mm base is a bit big for the board, but its really a theoretical problem as in practice it has not proved a problem.
Clousseau
I bought some small coloured rubber bands to use for identifying each team. They were very cheap which was just as well as they won't stay on due to the angled sides on the bases.
Clousseau
Another suggestion was to use dressmaker's pins fitting into a small hole in the base. Will try this out tomorrow and let you know...
marshimartian
I like to use a "shirts and skins"method, all my pwars bases are colored, and so one team gets to sit inside 30mm bases
Clousseau
Seems to work OK as you can see, and the hole is quite small so doesn't ruin the base when not used. Now just need to buy some more pins (as the wife won't let me steal any more).
Omenbringer
Another suggestion was to use dressmaker's pins fitting into a small hole in the base. themurphyfella
Nice Solution Clousseau. Any issue with the pin falling through the bases? I had been thinking about using painted magnets to sit onto the bases. I like the 30mm coloured bases idea as well. I think I'll still get the zubber cause it looks like it would have lots of hobby uses. I failed to find a source of 23mm coloured buttons to use for bases and I had been considering casting up a set as inserts Got to play around with this a bit more
