Soundwave
Gamin, being a french word would sound something like [Geh-moh], but it sounds really strange to say Fire Geh-moh. Personally I've always gone with [Gay min] or possibly [Gaah min] because it fits better with the English Fire/Ice pronunciation. So, how do you pronounce "Fire Gamin", or "Ice Gamin" for that sake? Ebonstar
I thought the French pronunciation would be Gah MENH. I pronounce is Gah min, but I have to say it twice in a row ala South Park Crab People. Ice Gamin Ice Gamin And soon to be: Fire Gamin Fire Gamin
fishtank
I go with Gam-in (Gam to rhyme with Damn, hard G as in gaming, so the whole word would rhyme with Jammin'). my uneducated 0.02 worth.
cyung
Hi guys, I'm newbie to Malifaux, and french. About your question, oddly enough, "gamin" is named "rejeton" in the french Malifaux sources, whose most accurate english translation is "offspring". So as far as it matters, I'd recommend to stick to the english pronounciation for the gamin word. for the fun's sake, one french site displaying the odd translation: http://forum.alchimiste-games.fr/viewtopic.php?pid=15108 Edited August 30, 2011 by cyung
