osoi
Quick Question: Can Hamelin the Plagued be kept in melee against an insignificant or Ht1 model? So can they make a disengaging strike against him as it does say target in the wording of the rule?
0 Shank Seamus!
Well as hamelin can't be the Target of spells or abilities from ht1 or insignificant models, I would say no.. Could be wrong, but at first glance, it reads like that. SS!
0 ZiggyQubert
I believe that a disengaging strike is clasified as a strike (could be wrong) and as sutch it needs a target, and as hamelin cant be targeted by Ht 1 and insiginificant then they cant do it. 0 magicpockets
We've always played it that he can't as it's a strike (and that makes sense RAI imo) - need to check the wording on disengaging strikes (to see if it says target) and, if not, on target to see if anything covers disengaging strikes. May be one for the upcoming FAQ?
0 LoboStele
Would love to know how this one works out, because we had a similar question come up this weekend regarding the Hooded Rider and Disengaging Strikes when he's in his Midnight Mode (models hit by his saber strikes cannot target the Hooded Rider during their next activation). 0 Buhallin
Would love to know how this one works out, because we had a similar question come up this weekend regarding the Hooded Rider and Disengaging Strikes when he's in his Midnight Mode (models hit by his saber strikes cannot target the Hooded Rider during their next activation). Well, I think this one is clear. A disengaging strike does not occur during the hit model's activation, so it should be able to target the Rider freely. As for the original question, Models cannot simply move past enemy models without risking an attack. To represent this, the moment a moving enemy model would leave a model's longest melee range, that model may interrupt the enemy's move and attempt to block it by making one melee Strike... Seems pretty clear that it's a standard strike, which includes targeting, and all appropriate targeting restrictions and rules would apply. 0 Necromorph
Yep, that's pretty much how we've always played it. You can't target Hamelin if you're Ht1 of Insig, so he can just walk away from you nochalantly.
