Golden Demon
It's a bad idea for me to pack Mortimer and 9 Canine Remains in my 30ss list and just load up on corpse counters with Search for the first turn and then use Arise to give myself a ton of Mindless Zombies, right? Because as amusing as that idea is, it seems like it could have issues.
Mach_5
The real problem with that is that you can no longer search for corpse counters with grave robbers. Errata changed that, and the new rules manual.

shekbo
Yeah, the only way to pull of the "million corpses on turn one" thing is to take a bunch of dogs and set em up around one punk, then pull a slice and dice on all of em. Actually not a horrible strategy as you can spend the first two turns "upgrading" your army from canines to crooked men/punks/whatever else the situation calls for. It's a good "reaction" list for when you aren't sure what your opponent is rolling with.
Bienivrai
Upgrading by killing dogs to get crooked men, punk zombie yes. killing dogs to get a mindless zombies is folie!
the lone bard
I'd say don't. you just loose too much time doing it. if you want a few higher point cost models ditch the samurai's from your starting list, for example, if running 2 samurais, or god forbid, 3. just take 2-3 canine remains, spend the lefover points on a crooked man. the point is, you only have 3 casts with nicodem, and the vultures/grave spirit can't be relied on to get off re-animator. maybe take 4 dogs for 8 points and use morty to companion them at the end of the turn and suddenly BAM 2 flesh constructs for 8 points. but dog spamming is just asking for a loss due to the fact that even if you take 10, you'll be lucky to get 3 things summoned a turn, and 3 flesh constructs on your side of the field won't do jack due to there terrible defense, which i'm pretty sure was put so low JUST to avoid this sort of thing. Q'iq'el
Contrary to popular opinions, Nicodem is not exactly a summoner. He can summon anything, but it costs him dearly in cards. He does much better if he starts with a solid crew and buffs his warriors, then uses summon to replenish the fallen troops or expand his crews with the corpses of the fallen enemies. You may want to take some dogs for their speed, to get a few Mindless Zombies quickly or to bypass the SS limits and quickly Reanimate one more Flesh construct or Punk Zombie, but you can do it once or twice maybe, or you'll find yourself falling behind the throng of your army and loosing the buffs.
