edonil
Nothing really, it's the fact that there's about a dozen rulesets to cover that eventuality.
Mister Monkey
Yeah that is true...... its finding the one that suits you that is the trick
edonil
Heh, fair enough. I can remember before I tried Flames of War, one of the historical gamers who didn't like FoW showed up with a completely different ruleset for the same scale. And he had two other rulesets for it too.

Mister Monkey
Yeah I tend to go for the lighter sets of rules...... I want a game not a historical recreation.

edonil
Yeah, I favor ease of play and complex tactics myself. A game can have simple rules and lots of strategic options and I'm happy. When you start approaching Infinity, I'd rather just be playing an RPG...
Mister Monkey
Yeah be interesting to see where version 3 takes it but pretty sure it is not for me.....
edonil
It's an interesting setting, and I'll probably keep picking up the rulebooks for the setting, but yeah, I'll probably not be playing it.

edonil
Yeah, I'm putting a strangehold on new games, and new factions. If I don't already own stuff for it, not buying it, until I get a faction or two finished painted.
