edonil
Yeah. Still not sure if I want to put in the time and money to pull it off. It could be an interesting project, but I've never attempted anything like it. Most definitely won't be for gencon next year, though, lol. I expect it'll take longer, especially if I go nutty and want to do metal plating.
Mister Monkey
Ha ha fair enough, I know a group that do a bunch of Star Wars costuming they make some awesome stuff.
edonil
It's a pretty neat set of skills, honestly. I found the forum for people who do Mandalorian stuff and there's a lot of helpful advice on there.
Mister Monkey
Yeah, what is the likelyhood of you doing it then?
edonil
Heh. Probably 50/50, to be honest. One of those things where I love the idea, but the expense is probably too high for me to really tackle.
Mister Monkey
Yeah fair enough..... could make it a long term thing and do a bit at a time.
edonil
Yeah. I'm thinking about doing that, honestly. Do a piece or two a year, kind of thing. Oh well. We'll see. I'm just glad the night is moving along at a steady pace right now... I need to get some sleep. (yawn)

Dustcrusher
Heh, I thought about trying to do a Dynasty Warriors costume someday. It would give me an excuse to make a comically huge prop weapon. Arena Rex will be expensive per miniature, but these are very, very high quality sculpts and it looks like it plays well with 3 minis per side. I think they recommend 5-6. One thing I definitely like is that mounts and riders are treated as separate entities- dismounting a mounted enemy has a mechanic. Saga is one of those games that I think would do even better if they'd make a fantasy version of it, much like Flames of War with a sci-fi skin on it would do very well. Mister Monkey
I know quite a few guys that have used Urak Hai and the like for Saga Warbands.....
edonil
Hah, that would be awesome... Good use of the Uruk Hai stuff too. Never got into the LOTR Skirmish game, but the models were always pretty.
Mister Monkey
The game was actually pretty good, and fairly well balanced between heroes and troops......
edonil
Heh, the main problem was I couldn't find anyone around who was willing to play it, lol.
