We are members of our local zoo, which just happens to be the fab Chester zoo (just 15 miles down the road!). It is regarded as one of the best zoos in Europe, if not the world and it is still expanding! The good thing about it is there are no 'cages' for the animals. Obviously the dangerous ones like lions and tigers are behind fences but not bars. And the enclosures are massive with lots of foliage etc so the animals can hide from the public if they wish. I highly recommend visiting it if you are ever in the area ... but allow a whole day to see everything, if not two!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
