On one hand, I kinda hate the holiday's corporate vibe, on the other hand, much of it is stuff I was going to get her anyway. She was given an old (but still quite viable) Alienware machine minus a hard drive, RAM, and OS, so I got her the first two along with some inexpensive but pretty jewelry. I still spent a lot less than some dudes who are going to buy some expensive bauble that will be worn twice then stashed in a drawer, forgotten.
